Am I the only person wondering who dear Doo Doo is?
ОтветитьFantastic and clear way to understand harmonies, thank you
ОтветитьI would like a crash course on every single thing to consider when finding the harmonies of any new song at all I come across
ОтветитьWonderful, thanks, will give it a try soon.very clear and concise .
ОтветитьWow! What a great, great lesson👍🏻
ОтветитьThank you. So useful!
ОтветитьYou're amazing!! Please do make another video with advanced harmonies please! I love your teaching style: simple, clear and effective!! Thank you so much!
ОтветитьI'd love for you to do a lesson on writing close harmonies heard in songs of the Swing Era. An example would be that of the Andrews Sisters.
ОтветитьWhat app are you using for the vocal doubling?
ОтветитьThis was helpful.
It would be interesting to examine the harmonies used by the Beatles, The Eagles, and some of the other groups that are known for their vocal harmonies.
What about a 3 or 4 part harmony? wanna learn that!
ОтветитьSo helpful! Used these techniques recording vocals with my band.
ОтветитьI loved the video. I would like to see more advanced techniques please ♥
ОтветитьLovely stuff, very clearly explained.
ОтветитьClearly explained. Thank you!
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьThat was great!
ОтветитьHappy birthday Dear Doo Doo? 😂 🎂 💩
ОтветитьA video on more advanced harmonies? YES PLEASE!!! Thank you so much for this video ❤
ОтветитьOf course you can smooth out the sound of those 4th and 5th harmonisations by making sure all your notes fit the chord or at least resolve. That would take a little music theory knowledge. I have four rules for pop harmony. 1) use mainly 3rds and 6ths, 2) you can use any other interval if you resolve to a 3rd or 6th, 3) the harmony part should be smooth and easy to sing. 4) If a note doesn't sound good, change it.
Ответитьthanks for the video. did you use audition on a macbook ?
ОтветитьI'd really like you to go further with the harmonies tutorial. Thanks
ОтветитьThankyou! This was such a great tutorial! I would really love another more in-depth look at how to make much more complex harmonies as well.
ОтветитьThank you. Very straightforward explanations and demonstrations
ОтветитьPlease could you demonstrate the harmonies in “Seven Bridges Road” by The Eagles?
ОтветитьCool 🎉🙂👌🏻 Can anybody say, what song it is, that's playing in the intro? `And things will never be the same when I hear your name since you kissed me in the rain.. '
ОтветитьQuestion about 3rds (4ths, 5ths, etc.)... if I'm harmonizing in 3rd in say C... does that mean say a D is harmonized by an F (3rd in key) or F# (Major 3rd)... I guess I'm asking "Are parallel thirds always a major or minor third... or does it change between major and minor thirds as we move around the scale?"
ОтветитьToo good and simple explanation!! ❤
ОтветитьThank you, please create advanced harmonies video
ОтветитьPlease continue teaching harmony ...very useful and helpful ! ...Thank you !
ОтветитьBarber shop, quartet harmonies how is that done?
ОтветитьCould you analyze the masters of pop and 'rock' vocal harmony e.g. The Byrds, The Beach Boys and The Beatles?
ОтветитьSo, is the Intro song a full song?
ОтветитьI have just now found this video. It is truly excellent. Very many thanks for your very clear explanation of a topic which was a mystery to me prior to now. Brian
ОтветитьVery helpful indeeed.
ОтветитьAnother more advanced method is by “completing the chord” or how they taught me at school: ‘soli technique’. But for that you need to know what the chord is playing at the time and its notes, and also identify what notes of the chord the main voice is playing (root, 3rd, 5th, 7th or extensions) and from the note of the melody, complete the chord
Ответитьsuch a lovely and sweet girl🙂
ОтветитьExcellent job!!! A good starting point to try, test, and learn...
ОтветитьDid she ever make the follow up video on more complex harmonies?
ОтветитьHey, I didn't know it was doo doo's birthday already.
ОтветитьThank you. I've spent a lifetime listening to The Everlys, Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel and CSN trying to figure out what was going on. You nailed it in 14 minutes. This video must be the clearest ever vid on harmonies. Well done!
ОтветитьYou learn about counterpoint, parallel fifths and consonant intervals of thirds and sixths.
ОтветитьPlease reference the Beatle vocal harmonies in the songs Think for your self and This Boy .
Separately they make no sense , yet together they work. .
Also the harmonizing duo Fr a nk and Nancy Sinatra in their song Somethin' Stupid. .
Nancy seems to be singing a lower harmony to Franks main melody . Again , I'm stymied .
Tia .
6th fret
ОтветитьExcellent presentation!
ОтветитьThis girl's lesson is better than all any other on internet. Her example song is excellent. Why can't other think as she do.
ОтветитьNice dear so sweet ❤
ОтветитьHappy Birthday dear Doo Doo 💩! 🤣
