Hey mower Mike I have the piñon and sector off . Run into trouble the mechanize (rod) that holds the reverse, brake and clutch PEDALS fell out of place I’m having difficulty getting it up high enough to reattach HELP. THX FOR ANY ADVICE. JOHN DEERE D110
ОтветитьAfter doing what you just did on my JD LA175, my forward/ reverse pedal has stopped functioning. It just flops back and forth with no tension and can't engage the transmission. The belt has tension but still doesn't work. What can be tge problem. There's no one in my area that does repairs so I have to do it myself.
ОтветитьThat brake leveling part is what gets u. You never said anything about it.
ОтветитьI cut out a 5" long section of Good Sector teeth and weld them above and slightly back on the new sector. I hope you used a Brass bushing above the Pinion Gear. The old one was missing Completely! They can often be Inverted to give a new surface of teeth for the Sector.
I find it easier to just remove the Sector Plate.
need a guide bolt to install the repair kit with only a pivot bolt. the kit only comes with the pivot bolt. how can I find a guide bolt? lost both bolts in disassembly.
ОтветитьThe best Vedic. On this subject I have seen. Great job.
ОтветитьYou crack me up and your tutorials are fantastic. Great job! Subbed
ОтветитьHi Mower Mike, firstly I would like to thank you for acknowledging that there are some ladies looking at your video, well done ! I am another one of those ladies ! The main reason for my comment is to say that you are the only one who seems to know what to do with the steering alignment on a ride on. All the other Men seem to think that if its not straight that they should bash it with a hammer, drill a bigger hole in it or bend it to where they want it ! I have just replaced all the steering gear on my JDL110, including steering arms. When I connected the new ones up the wheels were well off being straight, and yet there was nothing wrong with them before. Although I haven't tried your way yet, it certainly makes a whole lot more sense than all the other ways shown by others. Thanks and keep up the informative work !
ОтветитьConcise, informative, and entertaining. You're doing great things. Thanks for taking the time to put this video together.
ОтветитьThanks for acknowledging the ladies! I’m usually the “tiny hand helper/tool wench” but I’m gonna tackle this one! Thanks for the clear instructions!
ОтветитьHow do you put the bellt on
ОтветитьThanks for doing this video. It made the job so much easier. The jokes made it fun too. By the way, I have little girly hands and they still couldn't reach that nut lol
Ответить4 am. Like your idea, drop that plate, steering fasteners to.
ОтветитьThe different sized or mismatched bolts and nuts you can thank and over-educated engineer who has probably never fixed his own ;) great video :)
ОтветитьWhat if the pinion gear wont come off easily
ОтветитьI bought new drag lines off Amazon the adjustment end on the ones I got were on the end that connects under the mower and not at the wheel like yours. i got it put back to gather now it wants to hang up when I try to trun right. Any suggestions
ОтветитьI have a LA-140 that's already had a new motor installed countless fuel pumps, spindles, belts and blades now I'm dealing with steering. I hope this video helps me. I don't see why it wont. If ya wanna know why the bolts are metric is because the deeres are not American made. They haven't been in my guess judging by the age of mine for 20 or more years. We have Chine Deeres!
ОтветитьThanks for the info!
ОтветитьI was given a x300 for free because the owner didn’t want to get it fixed. Just a steering gear issue.
So $85 and two hours of work. I got a tractor.
Great video. Now to go order the parts and tackle the project. Will let you know how it turns out. ☺️
ОтветитьExtremely well done!
ОтветитьThank you so much Mike for this specific video. This particular video is by far the best video on how to replace the entire pinion sector gear combination and correcting the turning issue. Well done!
ОтветитьAwesome video, i got to fix mine, and i am NO mechanic.
