If you are reading this, you are the man Terry
Ответитьbut what if i have a problem with vision
ОтветитьSpeaking from the point of view of someone who never used a tablet and can't even draw an egg properly.
Ergonomics, that's debatable. Until 30 years ago, people worked with pen and paper, not sure they had issues. Unless you're a full time artist, a change from time to time from the usual computer position you are using usually might actually be beneficial long term. As a software developper I can tell you I have back, shoulders, arms and hands issues with the regular computer position just as well. I think it's being static and doing the same repetitive movements that destroys you long term. Price and reliability that's the same reason, something not reliable needs to be replaced often so cost more...budget varies from person to person. Portability...depends on personal needs. Personally such a thing would never leave my house nor my desk.
So still no real idea what's best.
I used a Wacom Intuos 3 for many years with no issues. It eventually wore out but it was such a great little tablet.
Even still I eventually caved to my baser, I love fancy over priced tech ways and got a Kamvas Pro 27. I love it to death despite it's enormous size
No worries there I'm over 50 I get up every 10 minutes to go pee All in the name of good posture of course😅
ОтветитьTo anyone watching this today, the reason no reason a simple drawing tablet would be better than a digital screen, ever. Furthermore the very pointless skill of learning how to draw on something that you're not directly looking at is a completely pointless skill for artists and if you ever plan on using a digital screen in your life, it's like why even waste your time with an intuos type device? Combine that with the fact that drawing tablets are not even cheaper than digital screens and the fact that even this guy doesn't use a drawing tablet. Weird advice honestly.
ОтветитьWeirdly enough, everyone tells me that there is a learning curve to using one of these drawing tablets and I get the hand of it within like 5 minutes. It's not that hard, people. You just have to turn off your brain and let yor hands to the talking. This is how I became the best MMA fighter there ever.... wait a minute.
ОтветитьMy own reasons why I still have cheapest wacom tablet without display: I'm broke and I have not enough room and decent desk for those heavy display tablet lol.
ОтветитьI got a entry level vieekk
ОтветитьI've got an Intuos 3 A4 from 2005 => Still works perfectly fine. Solid as a rock.
ОтветитьWatching this because I have both xp pen display and pen drawing tablet. Everything you said in this video was exactly I was thinking. Pen drawing tablets are inexpensive than pen displays because of portability, ergonomics, and gives you better posture.
As artists or digital artists its still super important to practice self care and get in some movement. Because when I do traditional or digital art I don't wanna run the risk of having bad posture that hurts my back and neck.
I have the xp pen Deco L pen drawing tablet in the color pink, and I haven't used it in years because I'm used to doing art traditionally. I'm considering of making art for a living selling original art, art prints, and probably creating a course instead of a course in a video format I would prefer book format. Because I am good at writing and breaking down complex information into simple steps or instructions on how to do things.
Wish me luck. And I love your humor Brad. I consider myself humorous too.
My dad gave me a 15 years old no screen drawing tablet. It is so old it has word and excel buttons from before 2007. Still works
Ответитьi'm drawing on a surface pro 3? and i'm now saving money to by a regular and simple tablet for my laptop, cause it's much more powerfull and i want to stream rawing and play OSU, also surface pro 3 is old, and can die in any moment (but i hope, not wery soon)
ОтветитьValid points. You changed my mind. Thanks!
ОтветитьI'd rather buy an ipad
Ответитьa drawing tablet is a more reliable tool, true, but the thing I didn't expect when I got one is that my art skills don't really apply with it. it's like I have to learn a completely different skill which is pretty frustrating, it feels like restarting art from 0.
I understand practice makes perfect and if I want to make digital art I just have to try harder but it always drains me of all my creative juice and it's dicouraging.
at least that's my experience. I guess I'll have to try more cause I'm too stuborn to stop now x)
Thank you! I will buy a graphics tablet one by wacom S
Ответитьthis makes me feel better about my 13.79$ XP-Pen 😂😂
ОтветитьI've been a digital artist for quite awhile now, I've been doing it on a phone using my fingers, so i think starting with a drawing tablet without the built in screen is going to be hard. Just like typing, i still can't type properly without looking at the keyboard
Ответитьwow, Im still using my Sintek from 2009 and no this truly is a coincidence... 🤣
ОтветитьI just want a tablet where i dont havw to connect it to a pc or anything, tired of drawing on my phone
ОтветитьIf you start with just drawing digital and stuff i guess you can learn this but as someone who actually draws on papers and stuff its hard to rewire your brain
ОтветитьI've had the same Intuos Wacom tablet with no touch feature since 2014. Yes, it did fail me a few times, but it works to this day. I actually found this channel this week because I was really considering buying a Samsung tablet, simply because I sketch my drawings on paper to make my shapes more confident. Seeing this video was actually pretty refreshing and encouraging for me, so thank you.
Ответитьi would love a tablet that did have a screen, did nothing but mirror my main monitor, and possibly felt like those e-ink type things. It doesnt have to have super good screen. just good touch and angle sensitivity.
ОтветитьBetter product doe not make you better. But it helps you to. LTT
Ответитьgod created huion so they made kamvas 13 gen3 now you can just turn off the screen and you can also use it as normal drawing tablet
*i really hope it turned out great 😂
The last point make me subscribe actually. Even tho I really enjoy much more my "screen graphic table" or whatever you wanna call it, the one which mirroring your screen per se. I TRIED hard to enjoy the one without the screen but, maybe, after 20 year drawing and painting what I can actually see...I really can't enjoy em. my bad
Nice video btw
terry cruise!
ОтветитьIm still not convinced still getting a pen display, also you still have bad posture using drawing tablet..
ОтветитьL'outil principal vraiment utile pour progresser c'est celui qui offre un accès à la connaisance, ça fait vraiment la différence 👍🏼
Ensuite : même avec le matériel minimal, c'est le travail qui fait le progrès 👍🏼
I'm still using my Intuos from 200?. Model GD-0608-U I think it's the 1st gen
ОтветитьNot me using my Samsung tablet 😭
Ответитьi just get my first pen display, and yes it's convenience, I can sketching faster, do line art faster but yes it's hurt my back 😭
ОтветитьReasons to not use tablet: I'm using mouse and not only I would be switching to pen but I also would be switching hand since I'm left-handed
ОтветитьCan u buy me a pen tablet for my studies pls
ОтветитьBetter tablets might not make you a better artist but let me tell you upgrading to a decentish display tablet sure made the experience a lot more pleasant for me and got me drawing a lot more often.
ОтветитьYou repeated the title 3 times in the video, dude I read the title when I clicked it. Also you state the obvious for the first 2 points. Should I make a video about music and point out "music is good when you can hear it, because we use our ears, but loud noises hurt our ears, but not always, but sometimes. Also, I am not a Doctor. But I am in this comment, wooo" Ears can also be different sizes, and in ear earphones are different to over the head headphones. Wooo. But music plays out of both, and they work the same.
Sorry did all that seem like a ramble and not funny at all. If you made it this far you'll; oh my god I just thought of a joke wait -
I got 3 mins in and all you did was run your mouth, plug your classes and told me to stretch. Get. On. With. It
Ответитьwhat about $20 tablet???🤔
ОтветитьFor me as a tattoo artist,
tablet whit display Is Better bye bye
5 reasons why I don't give a damn
ОтветитьMy ET-0405A is still rocking... What is it??!!! Wacom Graphire 2 from 2001! I think I may try out the HUION Inspiroy 2 M as an upgrade!
ОтветитьI'm old. Drawing from a long time ago [have own style not so good like u guys] but i want to start draw in digital. I thought about something bigger than 13'. What do u think Brad?
ОтветитьI’ve been using the Huion H420 for a few years and made a decent amount of money from it. I just upgraded to the XP Pen Pro 16 this year, because why not, haha. The point is, if you’re just starting out, it’s better to use affordable tools, guys
Ответить1. Cheaper
2. Cheaper
