What are the screws called that you use to attach the monitor glass? I’ve been looking all over to figure out where to order some like that.

hi i no this is a old post but im attempting to build a arcade bartop machine based off the plans you have got here im already half way through im using 12mm mdf wood my first time doing the t molding etc im just recently ordered a router i pick it up tomorrow first time user on it so my question is what t slot cutting blade do i need to cut the edge of the 12mm mdf please.

Hey. great build. I am building one myself(or planning to) and i just can't decide what type of monitor i should use. 4:3 or 16:9? Are there a lot of games that will be stretched out or the screen will be cut off at the sides? once i sort this out i want to start building so any advice is more than welcome.

Wow, this is awesome, and thank you for being a teacher and showing kids the old school games. The video REALLY inspired me to try to build one, currently trying to convert over to inches and start the project. Hopefully it will get done, especially with wood prices, how many sheets of MDF did you need?

how do I get the pc monitor to turn on without using the power button due the fact that the bezel is in the way.

Does TV turns on when you switch on the arcade like a monitor? Did you do any trick?

Never trust someone that says "You will never see them" means you will cut corners wherever you can, laziness is not what you want to teach people. Go the extra mile, and yes, it must be perfect. Other than that rant....not a bad weekend project, I would choose the vinyl though...👍

Why are the measurements like 49.14 or 65.29? Even using a metric ruler it's in between mm marks. Pardon a Yankees ignorance of the metric system, but this seems strange...

N64 Controller = 15 buttons.

4 for the DPad directions.
1 for the start button.
1 for A.
1 for B.
4 for c buttons.
1 for Left Bumper.
1 for Right Bumper.
1 for Z button.
&
1 analog stick.

Your arcade setup... an analog stick, which is more like a dpad if we are being honest, and 6-8 buttons.

Why are you trying to play N64 games with it? Hahahaha.

Also, for air flow, you should use 3 fans minimum.

2 intake.
1 out.

Or perhaps just using a big intake fan and a smaller out fan, this will have a similar effect.

Doing this will create positive air pressure inside the cabinet and will ensure air gets to all the components.

You do terrific videos with great detail but I need to make an arcade for a 20 inch monitor and have no idea of where to start. How do I go about drawing and cutting out the first two items that you say I should start with: the sides. This is to be a bar top arcade. But I don't know how to relate what I need to draw to my monitor size??? Sorry, probably basic question.

I'm a bit confused at the supports step. First you say you use 1/2" MDF to lay out the lines because that's what you're going to end up using but then you cut up 3/4" square strips out of 2x4's. Looking at the video, it looks like you're using the 1/2 lines to mark the edges against where you'll put the 3/4" supports.
