With regards to Venus, Post-Cap, and Zeitgeist - none of them were actually communist. They may have had vague Marxist leanings but they were all searching for that fabled third way. The Venus Project probably has as many followers here in the UK as Democratic Communism.

That said as a social democrat looking in, if you want to be a communist, call yourself a communist.
