Which level 5 course do you recommend? I am late 40s, A UK citizen with no degree. I think the Celta and the international TEFL is a bit expensive for me

How would you rate their Business English course? It sounds like a great deal to have this thrown for free with their `168 hour course, and most people end up paying extra for a course like this on top of the TEFL.

Curious here. I am actually in the process of taking the course. Did you actually take it? The reason I ask is there are errors and inconsistencies in the lessons and as I have just landed on the first assignment, instructions are contradictory and requirements are head scratching because in its own example the tefl academy can't even meet its own requirement. And we're only talking about up to unit 6 of the level 5. I'm personally wondering if this course is actually set up to be AI scanned. It's almost as if the academy was started in good faith, but then purchased by an individual living in his mother's basement who knows how to write an algorithm for the grading.

Hi. I am Brazilian who's been living in the USA since year 2000. My English is considered pretty good by my American husband, family, and friends, but its not perfect, of course, since it's not my native language.
Could I still become an English teacher after completing any of these courses?
My goal is to offer English classes online for the Brazilian community around the world.
Looking forward to receiving some guidance from an experienced English teacher like yourself.
I thank you in advance!
Silvana 🤗

I don't have a degree, but I'd like to do the level 5 tefl course to teach students online, I have no interest in going abroad or teaching in a classroom, would the level 5 be of any value to me?

Thanks for the info, Jamie 😊
I'm just beginning to look into this idea as a possible future career option. Why on earth are there so many course options out there?! It's confusing and stress-inducing. I guess it's a result of free-market economics, even in the realm of providing teacher training. Can't help feeling that too much choice too often serves no purpose, only adds layers of confusion. Thank goodness for people like you who take the trouble to help others navigate the waters! ❤😊

I'm currently in Unit 7 of my TEFL course with TTA. Just concluded the first Assignment and got a pass. Also, I didn't expect to get a feedback on my assignment as soon as I did. That was amazing! Although, I found the assignment quite rigorous.
It took me a long time deciding which TEFL course to actually choose. Thankfully, I settled for one, THE TEFL ACADEMY Level 5 168 hour course, and never regretted my choice. 🎉🎉🎉

thank you for your informative video as usual.
I’m French, I’m working on entraining into English coach/tutor or English homework assitant ONLINE (french) because i will move a lot as well as I’m not an english native speaker.I have no teaching experience.
I haven’t decided which range of age, I want to coach (kids to Adults (probably 5-7 age, i think for a first start, right? what do you think of it? please)).
here’s my plan because i have no experience and no degree in English education. I have decided to pass the TEFL 5 200hours (TEFL org) to dip toes in english teaching in general, in the meantime i will improve my english in this field, try to reach a good level of B2 (my grammar is close to just need some speaking practice) to C1 level, to pass cambridge B2 or C1 following my current level at this period and jump in passing the CELTA for more profound and solid pillars. what’s your stand on it ? your truly thoughts. I’ve already passed some English tests through TEFL company and i have some level varations between B2 or C1 but there are more focused on writing and my speaking doesn’t have the same level. is it because we don’t need to talk with a tutor or teach a class to be assess during the TEFL courses? did you need to teach students to be assess? I know that you might probably be telling yourself “what this french woman is telling 😂 she isn’t an English native with no degree as well as no teaching experiences however she wants to coach”, that sounds crazy to me too because it’s not my field but i want to do for multiple reasons (proudness in myself, feelings of wanting to coach (french or others 😃 countries)and Encourage them to love and learn English so many people, i had talked before told me school experiences with a foreign language was catastrophic. I just want to cheer them up, i feel that way in my heart but i’m afraid it can’t be done. I just need the truest advice from someone who knows this situations well, except that you are an English native speaker but some tips would be a game-changer. thank you again
