My Bearded Dragon LOVES BACKPACKING

I took Rhydon, my bearded dragon, on his first wilderness backpacking trip as summer came to an end! I’d originally planned for us to hike around Lake Tahoe, but with temperatures only reaching 75°F, it was a bit too cold for him. So, we opted for a warmer destination with daytime temps around 87°F. I also packed heat pads for the cooler nights, which kept him cozy at 75°F while he slept. Rhydon adapted like a pro—never flaring his beard once, even with all the new surroundings!
