Not sure why anyone would dislike this
ОтветитьThis is so helpful, thank you so much.
ОтветитьHi i read on the internet that you have to mow or hand cut your wildflower garden once a year, in the late fall after all the flowers have bloomed and the seeds have dropped... Can i just leave them alone and not cut them at all? Dont know why they have to be cut because the field wildflowers are always left alone & do fine. and when the flowers make like poppy seeds can i just make them in a paper bag and plant them next year? Because i saw something on the internet about washing seeds :S.Thx
Ответитьthanks for the vid it was very helpful : )
Ответитьwhat's the name of the tool at 23 seconds? does it drag behind a tractor?
ОтветитьDon’t use herbicides it is a cancer to soil.
ОтветитьI'm disliking this due to the "herbicide" portion. Assuming you mean stuff like "Roundup" which is a poison harming us by getting into our groundwater, harming wildlife, and harming pollinators. There is no need to use herbicide especially for letting a meadow grow!
ОтветитьHelpful film, thank you. I won't be using any herbicide though :)
ОтветитьReally useful. Thanks :)
ОтветитьExcellent, no nonsense demonstration on just what I needed to know. Thanks so much. Great ideas!
Ответитьwhy was i recommended this
ОтветитьAt last a video on a open space field in plain English, thank you
ОтветитьWould it be a good idea to make a tray out of a cardbord box, put soil into the box ad seed and just put the tray boy with soil and seed to freshly cut grass area? the reason I ask is, I want to spread wildflowers to open grass areas in the town without having to dig or work on the land first. ?
ОтветитьCould you comment on what to do once the seeds germinate? Do you leave the meadow uncut? How many years does it take to get a full fledged meadow??
ОтветитьDo not use chemicals, it's destroying the insect kingdom.
ОтветитьThanks I want to do this for the bees. Especially underneath my linden tree cause they drop dead from starvation below it. It June now and the bees seem to starve already despites thousands of flowers in my garden.
ОтветитьThank you. Why did you select just one species to sow in the area you exposed? Just wondering.
ОтветитьThank you for creating this video. I used this technique earlier this year to plant sunflowers in my wildflower meadow which is currently filled with more grasses than flowers. I had no idea it was an actual technique called “creating gaps.”. I’ve also been sowing wildflower seeds this way for past two weeks but the gaps I’ve created are more like spots in which I’ve pushed other vegetation away with my foot or a garden hoe. I’ll try to create larger gaps from now on.
