George A. Romero was basically the reason why I love watching zombie movies. It's sad that he died. R.I.P George A. Romero.

The first time I saw "Night Of The Living Dead" was 10pm Saturday night on KTLA ch.5's "Shock Theater". The movie was slightly edited. With the possible exception of "Godzilla: King Of The Monsters", I had never been so engrossed by a black & white movie. The rest ( for both genre's ) as they say is history. R.I.P. George Romero & Ishiro Honda.

The other cast members probably never even watched George Romero's movies! GREG Nicotero on the other hand has worked with George Romero and was in Day of the Dead. I saw him last weekend at the Living dead Weekend in Monroeville Pa.

I met Eugene Clark who played the zombie big daddy in Land of the Dead and he told me it hurt when he found out George had passed away and I told him I was working at an amusement park in southern ga near where I live and I saw it on Facebook that George had died and it was a very sad day for a lot of zombie fans.
But I also asked Eugene if George were still alive and if he were to make another zombie and wanted him to come back for it, and he told me "oh, yes. I'd go for it. I'd really like to work with him again."
Interesting fact: the amusement park I was working at was the same one where they made zombieland.
Even though, George wasn't involved in that movie, but
It's an inspiration to his legacy

If you could call it Greg Nicotero's First Major Breakout Role, it was a Bit Part in George Romero's 3rd ZOMBIE Film DAY OF THE DEAD in 85. Greg had Good amount of Scenes in that Movie.

I'm watching walking dead today ( December 16,2022) because I saw this guy's name in the season 8 Episode 1 ending. I didn't start watching walking dead untill early this month and I got hooked so now I realize what I missed all these past years.

The Night of the Living Dead remake from 1990 directed by Tom Savini is literally a mirror image of The Walking dead...especially the farm season with Maggie and Herschel the cinematography ,atmosphere, everything is a complete rip off because Greg and Tom are great friends but i feel they could have done more to honor George personally...since they owe the 2 George and Tom literally everything for the success of the show basically
