That's the line 😂
ОтветитьI miss ComDEx. Computer Dealer Expo used to be a big electronics expo in the U.S. Manufacturers show off their latest tech. Was such a cool sight to see. Much like this.
ОтветитьWill you be at ElTec in Nuremberg?
ОтветитьThe SMUUUUUU 😆
ОтветитьGreat video Dave 😁👍 toys for us adults 👍
ОтветитьAny new tech you've seen compare to previous year or are the displays the same?
ОтветитьYou need to get yourself a meta quest 3 VR and a copy of walkabout mini golf. It's insanely good, even my 75yr old dad loves it.
Ответитьhere in the US, 10 years ago, Wurth was trying to get established with the EMC group at my place of work. Gave us some of their parts assortments, etc. Very useful for troubleshooting! They gave me a copy of their LT Spice book too! Very nice!
ОтветитьGood luck, good friend.❤
ОтветитьYears ago I used to like going to the big electronic shows in the UK, however they don’t do them anymore and you would have to go to Europe to visit an electronic show with the language barriers and expense. I am quite envious of you having interesting shows local to you.
ОтветитьThanks for the walk-around Dave!

ОтветитьHow did I miss this, my god.. next year
Ответить"Logging temperature to 4 digits, that's very gutsy.."
I damn near choked on my porridge..
They'd probably done it to one decimal place, and the sales/marketing guys told them we need more precision.
After years of watching this channel, I'm finally going to ask what exactly does "jobby" mean?
I used to think it was sort of like a cheapo product, but not really sure that's right anymore.
Hey, thanks for showing! Always enjoying your walkthroughs.
Wire harness competition? If I joined, I'd be dead fuckin' last... but with a loveliest harness, laced up with waxed cord like they used to. Would that win me a trip to Seattle to hang out with Sarah and others at Connections Museum? I wish.
Digital bagpipe? Great Scott! Quite interesting. You've had your chance... and didn't blow it! Lovely board inside. Nice electro-acoustic violin too.
Automated cable tester? Interesting. I once did one for 3-lead cables (audio balanced, etc.) with a 3 phase oscillator and a bunch of LEDs,
Micsig... thing of beauty! It's so thin, flat even. Is it the future of scopes? Hanging it on the wall is even more real.
Back in my time at Enelion, we had a bunch of Würth design kits and we used their electrolytics... nice and reliable. Don't even remind me of Quectel though. RF communication SoCs, but pretty painful to work with.
APEM, oh my goodness. Awesome switches. Get yourself a bunch of toggle switches (636H, 641H or similar) and admire their touchyfeeliness. MLC Electronics use them in their guitar amps, they're world class stuff... and that inspired me to get a few for switching power (lights, test gear and tools) on my bench. That's a beauty.
Uni-T and Fluke and Keysight next to each other - are they in the same capital group, or what?
COM-HPC, a beauty indeed. I love the design - it looks like a fine hi-fi amp that can go right to an A/V gear shelf. Does it come with the audiophool marketing BS and a suitable price tag? Hope not!
I thought your main screwdrivers were Wiha, at least I saw some on your videos.
"Use the Schwartz, Fluke!"
I'm so glad you've taken the time to upload this so I can get the full walk-around experience without any of the social anxiety of being in a room with 1000 people.
ОтветитьPast weekend was the Dayton Hamvention 2025, one of the largest ham/electronics shows in US.
ОтветитьI love the fact that most of the people know Dave ;)
ОтветитьNo BwE booth? 🤡
ОтветитьI was there later that arvo, but don't remember half the stuff you showed!
I just skimmed each stand, coz' if you show any interest, the exhibitors want to start talking with you.
BTW, it's been there at Jeff Shed at least once, maybe twice before. The one near the tennis centre was quite a while ago.
I can't stand how English speakers pronounce Würth 😄😄😄
ОтветитьGood winner winner show!
ОтветитьNobody visually inspected the visual inspection machine, since it displays "Draft fan alram!" with a typo 😂
ОтветитьMohawk guy is Synthwave/Electronic musician Babel Infocalypse
ОтветитьBack in the 1970's they had the Electronics exhibition at the show grounds in Sydney, Just about all the Aussie manufactures were exhibiting, back they there were many, sadly we dont have much local stuff now, we used to do Resistors (IRH) capacitors, some semicondutors, and of course many Radio, TV, Amps, test gear etc, most of the stands were happily giving away free books, cattledogs, and lots of free componants to stuff in the free bags.
ОтветитьMan that dude is scott through and through with that bagpipe and the zero dental care.
ОтветитьNothing compare to Guangzhou /Shenzen Trade Fair to be honest mate ....
ОтветитьI worked at trade shows for 25 years and no matter the kind of business, they are all the same. LOL. That show could literally be anywhere around the planet and still look exactly the same. Only Beauty and Licencing shows had life to them. I saw Pamela Anderson and tons of models at the Beauty show and lots of previews of big movies a year before they came out.
Ответитьfinally got around to watching this one.... thanks Dave...some cool bits of gear outta my price range there!
i want that digital bagpipe...just to piss off the neighbours! LOL
but..the question we all wanna know... whats better? Melbourne or Sydney?! :P
Nice way to see what is happening over there as I am in Europe. Compared to similar conventions in Utrecht, The Netherlands, like the WoTS (world of technology and science) or E&A (electronics and automation) 99% the same. Thanks for the overview!
ОтветитьThere were 555 Likes when I clicked. Lovely number for an electronics exhibition.
ОтветитьHi Dave, Also consider doing other trade shows, such as the TECHSPO Sydney 2025, or any computer trade shows. I presume you get all of the Asian companies showing off their products.
Thanks!
