One of the most obvious competitors to the MSI gamer range is Alienware. Why is it that in all your comparison tests, not a single Alienware was to be seen? Dell's XPS showed-up but not their gamer range and yet neither are in the same class as their Alienware products. I have been an Alienware owner for years and I have just ordered my first MSI so this is not a case of being biased towards Alienware but I do think they should feature in any comparison of a laptop at this end of the spectrum, after all, their new 17 R4 has similar hardware including the RTX 3080.

Great review, i got the MSI GP66 RTX 3070, which you reviewed to. You should be able to manage the heat and noise level by undervolting and slightly limiting your cpu boost. It made a notable difference on mine while performance is still great. Your english is great, i actually did not noticed you where dutch and i’m also from the Netherlands. Keep up your good work.

Compared to the XMG Neo 17 (2021) I would buy the XMG.
5900HX, RTX 3080 150W as well.
Ca. 1000 EUR cheaper than the msi. Assebled in Germany with excellent support.
WQHD Display with 165Hz… The perfekt Display for a laptop I think.
Performace is a bit better than of the msi…

Just received mine yesterday but because the i9 10th gen wasn't available I got mine with i9 11th gen instead (I had to wait 3 months so I assume this just arrived from the factory). It's not as bulky as I expected, but mine seems to have metal screen back instead of plastic like mentioned in the video (unless I misunderstood "all plastic"). Very nice machine. I will be getting a cooling pad, though. It ran very hot while testing last night, although I was downloading and installing a crapton in the background at the same time.

Isnt 4k euro worth it, way to much for this one.

4k 120hz on a laptop is equal to throwing your money into a burning dumpster as a way to light your room, expensive and ineffective. No single GPU out right now can achieve native 4K at such high FPS consistently to warrant this as an option, it's literal tax for being an idiot. 1440p 165hz is the absolute sweet spot for gaming currently.

I recommend go for GP76 i7 11800h , RTX 3070 140w . With OC on RTX 3070 you will be at same level as 3080 150W . I’m getting 11800 graphic score on time spy. 30,200 graphic score on Firestrike. And 14500 on cinebench r23. This cost me 2040€. I7 11800h is extremely powerful ! 14500 multi score cinebench r23 at only 4.2Ghz !!! Oh and I repasted gp76 with IC diamond ans added 32Gb ram 3200 cl19, 1Tb SSD

WE THE PEOPLE - need always Reviews first of all - about CHEAPER Realistic models (in this MSI matter) good example is 11UE 3060 model! Made for People: Costco 1300$ etc vs 3-4K configs- taste the difference and see the market in numbers for both as a professionals?! Seems all guys-reviewers don`t get it - than WE NO NEED to read about 3090 VIP stuff for 3-5 grands $$$$$ 8-() It`s ridiculous to spend such amount $ for laptop: So most of us need these folk national configs !!! Ya- sure it`s fun to look as in Zoo for max benchmark numbers this 3-5K$ monsters but nothing more. Both config ok to review - the fancy top one only for hype? No. Basic but real for life and working configs close to earth with adequate prices FIRST and only then these museum $$$$$$ rarities to compare and nothing more. So clear and simple isn`t it?! Seems not!

4000 euros? wow I just found this slightly used with i7 10870h and 32GB RAM for 1229 euros you just confirmed the deal for me.

It seems that some employees at MSI do watch these video reviews of their gaming laptops because there will actually be two new features coming in the upcoming 2022 12th gen Raider GE76 called SmartAuto, and Ambient Silent AI, which both work to provide a more pleasant user experience during gaming and general use. CPU & GPU clock-speeds will be automatically controlled based on what you're doing on the laptop at any given time, and so performance and fan-noise levels will generally be more optimised so to say.

We will see how everything comes together, and whether it's just useless bloatware that either doesn't work properly or if it actually works as intended. These two new features can also be turned off if they become bothersome in any way, so that's good.

Best laptop in the world 2022: GE76

Only bad thing about this model is it wasn't long before the 11th, 12th gen intel cpus and Ti gpu versions came out...
The 11th and 12th gen cpus run both cooler and faster due smaller 10nm chips... while the 10th gen uses old 14nm chips...

Though this laptop is still a beast just wouldn't pay full price these days probably only 2k$... Which is pretty bad devavluation for under 1 year old laptop but such are things in tech I guess.
