Reminds me of when I was in the 6th grade and posted my discovery of a source of essentially infinite energy that was absolutely ironclad (I forgot about the third law of motion lol) onto yahoo answers. I will say I'm glad I was at least humble enough to seek peer review (totally official obviously) on yahoo even as an actual kid. I like the sciences but outside of what I actually study (medicine/nursing) I have realized that I know a lot less than I thought I did when I was in middle / high school.

To be fair. I dont think there is a human alive that doesn't get a little triggered when their art or work gets workshopped. You gotta be an introspective and emotionally intelligent person to really take input and use it to improve.

Didn't Telsa try peer reviews with many things, you can't prove them so you throw them out. You can't actually disprove Terrence which makes his THEORY as vaild as yours.

What is everyone going to say of his plasma propulsion system actually works, that will prove if he insane or not... Prove it Terence and let's see.

I am wondering if science works like Archeology, i mean if i had worked my whole life studying and listening to my peers to realise everything i have been taught is wrong...and an actor has figured it out i would be more than a little embarrassed too 😂

I disliked this not because I believe anything Howard said is true, he is truly a nutjob, but because so much effort was put into this matter which would have been better spent watching paint dry or grass grow. Why is he given any kind of importance is beyond reason.

Instead of appreciating Neil's feedback, the dumdum cried about it. Was he expecting the Nobel Prize for that nonsense?

Thats why Neil deGrasse Tyson is the President of Science in the world and Terrence Howard is an actor.

Many actors, at some point of their career, come to the realisation that they are only good at acting so fantasise about being someone else, like Brando was at some point obsessed to become an engineer. Terrence, we are only human.

I wouldn't consider "Dueling Dragons is Closing" (or Fear Factor, or any other closing of an attraction) to be a spoiler, for example, despite the idea that the rumor was true. I'd say a spoiler is something that ruins a surprise, like a complete walk through of a ride for example.

i think i’m suffering from both Dunning–Kruger effect and imposter syndrome. good to have Neil explaining things in a way that makes sense of abstract ideas and thinking, so that my head doesn’t hurt.

Why are so many people saving face with Terrance Howard? So many notable people talk to him like they're walking on egg shells trying not to hurt a kid's feelings. The fool has multiple domestic violence cases yet nobody wants to just tell him he's a obscene egoist and an idiot. Too many people bounce around telling him he's flat out wrong by just prolonging the interaction.

Howard has always given me the impression that he thought himself much smarter than he actually was.

This is very simple. Howard's ego can't accept being corrected, beyond some tweaking, unless it's accompanied with a clear message that he's fundamentally correct and doing wonderfully. There's absolutely no interest in being told that he's simply wrong or that he's punching so far above his weight class, he's basically trying to smack the moon. "I'm not a scientist but I play one on TV." presents a distinction that doesn't quite make sense to him. If Tyson was a spineless coward, he would have run it past Howard's agent first. "It's another iteration of Trump's, "I know as much as any expert. Often even more!" In other words, like Trump, he's a loon.

He's not just crazy. He's conservative style crazy!

Excellent!! Just to be looked at as a "peer" by this man, is a great honor. That should suffice but we know that sometimes ignorance is bold in the wrong sense.
