What is the right moment to administer an EpiPen? When during the early stages do you administer it? For me not all allergic reactions end in anaphylaxis. Should I wait until my throat is swelling up and breathing becomes difficult? Or before that? Last time I had an allergic response I only got a tiny amount of the food I'm allergic to in my system (cross-contamination from a knife that wasn't cleaned properly between cutting two different types of pie). I had skin rashes, stomach aches, and a swolen tongue, but my breathing wasn't obstructed, so I just took oral antihistamines and waited to see if my symptoms would improve or get worse. Would it have been better to administer the EpiPen at that moment or was it okay to wait?
