This is one finicky transformation. Just got mine and getting those legs to drop down was down right terrifying.

Ben! If you end up getting the Weijiang Alcee from TF-Direct, they are allowing the figure to be substituted for one of the pick three KOs. Ratchet and Hot Rod are now available. If you get Alcee, she is able to be bundled as one of the KO picks.

Great Review as always. Any idea when the Hasbro release will be? I'm normally a fan of the Takara version, strictly for the box. And despite the fact that I speak Japanese fluently, I'd still rather have that iconic voice of my childhood.

Ehhhh, it looks great from the front, but the top, sides, and back do look meh. The color and eyes look fantastic. I'm sure he handles great but he might be a bit overrated. Or at least I see him that way. I think you could go with any of the three masterpieces you've shown in the video and be satisfied with all of them.

It's not even about the gray being more cartoon accurate for me, I just think the silver looks cheap. The gray gloss just makes him look more professional as a toy in general, though I do like that they tried to capture the toon look.

Any scuff marks from transformating?

To all that have this figure. There is no reason you should have any scuff marks on the barrel. If you look at the silencer the is a part were the gun barrel tip goes in that turns 45 degrees. This allows for a smooth fit

For the record, even if you buy this figure from someplace that had to put the orange plugs in, they're easily removable. Just get a pair of pliers with some good teeth on them, grip the plug tightly (being careful not to put the pliers on the actual figure), hold the gun barrel in place securely with your other hand, and twist the plug to break the glue. Pull it out, and then get some tweezers to pull as much of the residual glue out of the barrel as you can.

the whole transformation of Megatron put my heart in my mouth. so many small bits that need what feels like excessive pressure. I was in constant fear of breaking it.... which I did.

i think wei jiang has more detail and more cooler because there version has laserbeak but this is cool too:))

I seen some pictures of the Arm having broke right off at the rivet that holds the arm onto the piece which swings upward moving the arms into the back of the gun. I`m SUPER WORRIED about it i`ve transformed mine several times now without incident but how many more times can it be done without destroying it? how much force does it take to break it ?

Lunar toys is the way to go guys. No orange edition crap from big bad toys ...f those guys. Trust me lunar toys is the way to go these guys have amazing customer service

Any tips on how to tighten the outward movement in the leg?

This is a great figure as a throwback to the original P38 Walter Megatron, just dull grey - but like the cartoon. But this build is definitely a LOT more complicated than the G1, which I also have. The barrel and back to the scope area goes well enough but folding in the shins pushes the legs apart to where the stock doesn't want to fit. I had to do it with shins out, then tuck them in afterwards and I didn't want to break them by compressing the legs down after the shins were tucked in because they do not fit against the wall. The trigger guard doesn't want to stay together, and the feet extensions have the smallest nub ever for going onto the shallowest depression ever on the trigger guard. It does not want to reach the guard, either. The pistol grip "wings" do not align into their tabs. These are the hardest areas to get right. Seems do-able from this video but seems impossible for me. Maybe just my figure was built off a little on these areas. I would need literally just a few millimeters here and there to make things fit like they should.

Great video for transforming, though, and it was greatly appreciated.
