What’s the point of getting a Mac in 2024 when you can get a better PC for the same price?

As an example, for the cost of a Mac Pro you can get a much better PC with two dedicated graphics cards with SLI or Crossfire, and more RAM, and it will perform better than a Mac Pro can. Additionally, with a high end PC for work you can do photo editing and video editing better on a PC than a Mac, and you can game on it better!

You can even hackintosh a pc if you are into that as well and dual boot or triple boot multiple OS like windows and Linux, something you cannot do on a Mac in 2024 (Apple silicon) and that’s their best computer in the Apple market.

So WHY. WHY spend so much money on a Mac when you can get a high end PC for the same price and do more on it than a Mac can? Such as Photo editing, Video editing, music production. Like both windows and Mac have the same applications (excluding proprietary apps like Final Cut, GarageBand and Logic Pro)

And even the highest spec Mac Pro can’t even match a Workstation PC for the same price.

Liking an Operating system doesn’t justify spending thousands of dollars for a pitiful computer.

I recently got a M2 Air and have to say it looks beautiful in Midnight Blue but it actually feels slower than my old M1 Air. The M1 had zero lag and occasionally the M2 struggles on some simple tasks
