ОтветитьTrumps? Pushing childcare? You say that with a straight face? Like you believe it…
ОтветитьThis is an important issues and the documentary is a joke. They should use real people and normal examples.
ОтветитьAnd we wonder why the population is declining?
ОтветитьI wonder what hppd to them post covid
Ответитьlol 😂 this is a joke, these people waste money.
ОтветитьTrump said he will pay for all childcare with tariffs, cuz childcare is childcare and we just need it LOL
ОтветитьEverything expensive in America 🙄🥺😑
ОтветитьInstitutions ought to adjust, the more jobs one can work from home, reduces salary pay for employers and give mothers the opportunity and convenience to multi task
Ответить"I thought welfare was already tight...." 😂😂😂😂preach lady
Ответить“and rent is $5,000 a month” GIRL hold up, maybe that is what needs to be assessed lol
ОтветитьI would rather take care of other ppl's kids, being the fun aunt and giving parents a break rather than have my own. It's really not worth it for women especially, unless you really want one.
ОтветитьYeah, wrong family to use to prove your point. Childcare is too expensive, but this family is just making bad decisions, inclusing with their money
ОтветитьAnd I thought I had it bad paying $2,600 for a nanny FT for two kids.
Ответить5000 a month for childcare holy crap
ОтветитьSweden only has 10 million people. The U.S. has 330 million people. It's easier to provide healthcare and childcare for such a small population, so pointing at Sweden and complaining that we don't have what they have is a waste of time.
ОтветитьMy daycare cost more than my rent
ОтветитьNo kids for me!!!!! So happy!!!
ОтветитьMy son was never happy in daycare. I put him in a in home daycare and he was much happier. Babies/toddlers don’t need college degree teachers and fancy activities. All they need is loving, homelike care. Making childcare into a business is the main problem.
ОтветитьIt's always been tough.
You need to live near family, having the grandparents helps a lot.
Or one parent needs to take a career break. Until kindergarten or 1st grade starts. Otherwise you are just working to have your child in a daycare.
We only struggle like this because our culture isnt close knit , alot of cultures are way more communal and have big families and everyone helps each other.
Children are only a blessing in that scenario and the child is way better taken care of.
But in America we have been conditioned to be way more independent, and value personal property, privacy and our appearance to others.
We struggle in so many ways because of this especially at the start and end of life , both the elderly and babies need carerakers , so it makes no sense for families to split up , move away and barely talk to each other
This isnt just a child/elderly care issue , this causes depression and the feeling like we have nobody, we literally isolate ourselfs and abandon our family network to go struggle alone in almost every aspect of life lol
We need to stay close to our families , be more communal and life would be way easier.
Watch your own Children!!! And I don’t want to find miitary either!!!
Only want to fund education. Children do a gazillion times better at home with Mother until age 3. Don’t ask my tax dollars to fund daycare. Am I OK with a huge tax break for Child credit at an increased amount for age 3 and under? YES IT IS HARD WORK. But only TWO. Any more than that no increased tax credit just the normal! I should be a leader
The price is outrageous, but it is basic supply and demand economically. Is this a southern thing? In the south us poor folk are raised by our grandparents while mom and dad are working. And there tend to be the occasional babysitters in the picture too which is great side hustle for young people. How is it so expensive and the workers get paid so little? Where’s that money going?
ОтветитьMy mom shut her daycare down 1981-2023. We was in it from the beginning. In the 80s there was little government involvement. Today the Federal government gets over 60% of the daycares income in taxes. Parents can't afford it. The government increased cost by background checks, education, limiting number of teachers per children. In the 80s we could have over 30 kids with one teacher, and today you need a teacher for every 6 kids, or 3 babies. Then the government tells daycares what food to feed the kids. We can't make them good food with spices like some good pasta with meat and cheese. They got to have frozen processed fish sticks, and baked tater tots. Can't fry food for them. My mom would keep peoples kids till 10pm sometimes, because they worked double shifts. Find another daycare that will keep kids after 6pm.
ОтветитьAnd none of the huge pay goes to the teachers 😊😊😊
ОтветитьFunny how they don’t mention how much the people in other countries where the government pays for childcare get taxed
ОтветитьPeople, quit having kids that you cannot pay for. It is not the state's or employer's responsibility to pay to raise your kids. That is your job. If you cannot afford the total cost of a child, DO NOT HAVE THEM.
ОтветитьSo don't have the kids in the first place?
Cost is a great deterrent.
kids are for millionaires.
ОтветитьOne word that a lot of families need to learn is sacrifice. The mom really needs to get a job to afford daycare or not pay for daycare at all. How quickly would they realize they have money if the mom made a paycheck?
ОтветитьThese people are nuts! If she is not working why do they need childcare? They have a mother.
ОтветитьBoomers use social services and then take them away as they move on in life. Only reason why we still have social security. Thanks boomers!!
Ответитьwe live in Canada and we still struggle to find daycare for summer break for our 6 almost 7 year old son.. there are definitely no guarantee that anyone looking will get a spot and yet parents are desperate and leave children with under qualified adults just so they can work, the system is broken
ОтветитьI will get a puppy , it’s cheaper
ОтветитьDaycare only makes sense if your job pays 3X the cost of tuition and pays the bills, while adding to your savings. Otherwise, the parent whose job can't cover more than groceries stays home, raises the kids and that daycare tuition money should go to the bills. SAHP can apply for WIC and foodstamps. The SAHP can take the kids to shop the sales and go to the public charity food pantries.
ОтветитьEither they are lying or you found the most financially incompetent people in New York
ОтветитьStay at home and take care of your own children.
ОтветитьYou should do an update piece.
ОтветитьYou didnt find the perfect place for your childrens care and development. The perfect place for their development is home with Mom.
Ответить"8 hour orohans" is a very good descriptive term for daycare. Moms need to be home with their kids.
ОтветитьOne of the parents should stay home with their kids! Come on.
ОтветитьNo wonder why people are not having children. I cannot afford it.
ОтветитьDONTproduceKIDS ENDofSTORY OUTSOURCE KID PRODUCING to a 3rd world country!
ОтветитьHer fault, she has no income and doesn’t take care of her kids while complaining?😊
ОтветитьAs a child care worker we are over worked and under paid
Ответитьjust stay home!
ОтветитьIs childcare expensive or is it having three children?
ОтветитьHell no. I’m good. Y’all couldn’t pay me enough to do this ESPECIALLY as a woman. I’m not birthing a child for a male that can’t guarantee me a full time nanny for atleast the first 10 years. I’m good
ОтветитьSo...why are they having kids, then? O.o
Even worse, most of these foolish people have MULTIPLE kids. Why? Like how do you not do the research and learn all this info before choosing to have all these kids? How do you just blindly bumble into such a life-changing, important decision like having a child? It's fantastically irresponsible and selfish. I will never understand people like this.
