what a gorgeous vlog. Thank you guys - amazing as always!!!
ОтветитьI live in the area of Essex in the video,, and it’s very beautiful,, it’s a shame Maldon council seems hell bent on destroying the beauty by allowing over development and a huge rise in the population, It feels like this part of Essex is too nice and has to be destroyed.
ОтветитьYour videos are just the perfect thing to watch with a nice cup of coffee ☕👌
ОтветитьLovely.
ОтветитьThat's my old doorstep.
I lived Manningtree and Colchester.
Thank you for highlighting how beautiful Essex is Freddie and Monika (I was born in Chelmsford and grew up in Doddinghurst near Brentwood). Used to love going to Maldon when growing up. Now living in Norwich in another of your neighbouring counties. You guys would love Norwich and the North Norfolk coast. A great touring county for motor bikes. Another wonderful vlog!
ОтветитьI love my Triumph too…
ОтветитьMy two favorite hobbies, sailboats and motorbikes. Beautiful area.
ОтветитьAnother fascinating video Freddie. It was great to meet you at the Bike Shed on Saturday (I was the guy with the Northern Irish accent). Safe journey to Barcelona.
ОтветитьI'm infrequently impressed with a bike vlogger, the very best of them don't commit to researching the geography and historical context half as much as Freddie. The package he gives for free on utube would be better placed on TV in my opinion. I would put money on this guy being the next Clarkson.
ОтветитьHad the privilege of meeting with you at the bike show on the weekend. As I said to you then I like all aspects of your vlogs and this one just knocks it out of the park! Well done you and Monika😊
ОтветитьYou guys do such a nice job…you should put on your own touring company….I keep saying you guys should be hired for tourism insights….great job!!!
ОтветитьLiked and subscribed !
ОтветитьNice to see Maldon and the surounding areas again. I used to live and work around that whole area (based at Bradwell on Sea, just a few miles down river from Maldon). Some great biking roads in those parts.
Freddie, you were right about the year for that Volvo, however a bit off with the model. The 240 did not arrive until many years later. I think that one was an Amazon. Like you, I hope it gets rescued.
Lovely video. Hope you visited Poulson Creative Customs motorcycle dealer in Heybridge while you were in the area.
ОтветитьLooks fabulous! Looking forward to part 2!
ОтветитьJust seen you on Andy Flyer bike shed vid and decided to give you a watch. Glad I did, love doing wee rambles on my motorcycles. Very interesting and a big up to the UK. An hour on a bike and your in the country any where in the UK.
Cheers from Fife Scotland 🏴
Can you also please share the route map !! This will help us to plan the trips..
ОтветитьLove the jacket ! gonna have to get a plan together to convince my wife that I need one 😉
ОтветитьMost excellent video both, although I feel it should be subtitled "Freddie & Monica eat their way round Essex."
I'm looking forward to the accompanying guidebook that I trust Monica is busy writing
Loved watching this, lived in Maldon as a boy but emigrated to Australia.
Also riding a Triumph and enjoy your enthusiasm for the lifestyle.
Great to see Maldon hasn't changed too much over the years.
Freddie Dobbs = good vibes
ОтветитьThink it was a volvo 120 estate
ОтветитьDid King Olaf have permission from the National Trust warden to camp on Northey Island? I know they´re very strict about that sort of thing.
Ответить"The UK won the worldcup" 😂😂
ОтветитьDo you do a lot of fasting?
ОтветитьHi Fredster,
It’s nice to see you both back in Blighty and promoting my county. That cream tea was massive. Was it really for two? It could have fed four.
Just found your channel and loved the content. Great easy going style and informative as well. Saw the trip to Barcelona before this one. Enjoyed it do I hit the dub button. If I must say something that could be upgraded is your camera. The quality isn't up to date. In my opinion anyway. Other than that it is great. Just a small correction. The Volvo was a Volvo 121, also known as the Amazon 😉👍.Cheers! 🇸🇪🇬🇧
ОтветитьLovely place but I'm skeptical about the en suite bathroom with no ceiling for obvious reasons 😁
ОтветитьHaha, i'm a local to Maldon this was really interesting to watch. That Volvo has been there for years and years! I think it's been abandoned now, used to have a battery lead under the bonnet but no more!
ОтветитьGreat video and great bike. I also have a T100, one of the first injection models and it is a Gold Line model, one of the originals in that gorgeous green and cream colour. I bought mine as a lock down project back in 2020. It was basically a good bike but lacking in love so I set about improving it whilst keeping it looking as original as I could. I improved the engine, re-mapped with better intake and exhausts. Got rid of all the emission control stuff that made it run too lean. I did need to change the mirrors for bar end ones as I' am big (as in big 6'3", 180 lbs, not fat) and my shoulders got in the way. But why did you put back the original headlight mounting brackets with the horrible pressed steel ones? I have a set of Motone Customs billets and I think they look so much better. OK, I understand its all a question of taste but really? Cheap pressed steel originals over billet ones? (PS: I chucked mine in the recycling bin as I thought they were worthless. Obviously I know nothing).
BTW, this is not a criticism just an observation. Love your Vids will keep watching and leaving a like. 👆 John
Great show Brutha, I’m Hawaiian but my Great, great 👵🏻is English, originally from England. Definitely Essex is gonna be on my bucket 🪣 list🗒. -ML&Aloha Your Boy Kekoa&Ohana.🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
ОтветитьShame about the Muzak…
ОтветитьGreat to see the sights of Essex, I’m only slightly north of there in Norfolk so will make the effort to explore the county soon 👍
Ответитьi think you would be good on tv dude
ОтветитьYou Deserve more subs
ОтветитьHi brother greet from malaysia. Nice vblog as always. Just wondering how you keep ur nice bag and boots from rain and wet brother
ОтветитьReally enjoy your vids Fred, ever enthusiastic and positive, you've got a great outlook on life 👍
ОтветитьHi Freddie, great to see videos of the UK, (I kind of lost interest with Teneriffe). Good to see you featuring East Anglia, an area largely ignored by the msm( or is it because so many of them live here?) Also my home. I think you'll find the "breks" is the driest part of the country, up in Norfolk. If you're looking for a 5star breakfast, get along to Landguard Point in Felixstowe. You can watch the huge container ships being loaded while Monica and you eat. Another good ride out is to the Isle of Ely. You go through the breaks, the fens( which both beautiful, boring, inspiring and depressing in equal measure) you'll understand when you experience it. Ely is small, but the cathedral has to be seen to be believed. DON'T MISS THE WATERFRONT CAFÉS AND PUBS.. love your videos as due to menieres disease my biking days are over for now. I'm keeping my 900 Thruxton, just incase they find a cure. Safe riding mate.
ОтветитьThat's a Volvo Amazon, not a 240.
ОтветитьWelcome to my “hood”. About 90% of Essex is like this, all countryside and seaside 😁👍
ОтветитьMate, this is soooo cool! Might please sharing the helmet brand?
ОтветитьA flock of Ponies 🤣that has literally made our day🤣
ОтветитьMoved to Essex 20 years ago from east London..wouldn't live anywhere else..much underrated good road and train links beautiful architecture and now three cities aswell as large towns like maldon many small villages and tiny hamlets..as much history as you could ever want fantastic county..
ОтветитьI’d two days with you any where lol
ОтветитьI swear Freddie is related to Jude Law ? very handsome educated young man and i wonder what happened to Jude Law ? he seemed to vanish ? maybe he changed his name to Freddie Dobbs ? who knows lol
ОтветитьFreddie did you know the Limes Hotel used to be a dentist back in the 1950,s.
ОтветитьVolvo 122 wagon thanks for showing
ОтветитьCome on not now
ОтветитьGreat video of my home town 😊 always good to see , now living in Bordeaux , but often return to visit family & friends, Thank you 🍷
