Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight - Ultimate [Sega Saturn]

Is there a chance we can get patches that keep the Japanese dub, and keep the black bars on the top/bottom of the screen?

This is marvelous work, but the lack of black bars outright breaks certain screens, showing random empty spots at the top and bottom revealing the background, and it looks kinda bad when that happens. And the English dub in cutscenes with Japanese voices in gameplay is kinda jarring.

I noticed that Alucard's Hellfire, Dark Metamorphosis and Soul Steal spells are extremely hard to pull off.

Did the command input changed?

I have no problems doing Richter's Blade Dash, as it's the same input for Hellfire.

I had to buy the Spells from the Librarian just to fill up the Spells list.

great job, i prefer an Undub version with japnaese vocies, maybe in the future. But Ithink tah removing the black bars broke inmesion. You can see the clouds above in the intro, but if you open the secret stairwell it looks bad, i dont know if i making myself clear. sory english is not my first language

Hello, I was using 1.0 version on RetroPie, emulator lr-yabasanshiro. It was great!! Now I've updated to versione 1.1 and the game starts, but doesn't get commands at all. Any ideas?

Are you planning in adding some English voice to the Fairy Familiar? She was supposed to say tips about secret places but she's saying all in Japanese. The Librarian speaks the majority in Japanese too.

Other than that, I think my save is around 80% of the Castle and I don't know why it seems easier than when I was playing back in the day in PS1. With all my equipment I get only 1 DMG by anyone, can be a regular boss like Succubus or Oxl or a Flea enemy. I don't know if its a bug or not.. I start to get some damage from enemies when I'm "nude" without equipment. In the other hand in the spikes corridor next to the bell towers I suffer lots of damage (like it should be).

I'm playing it in my console through Fenrir ODE.

I have done that, I copied the files imagePatch.dll, Patch.imagDiff, and START to my Akumajo Dracula X - Gekka no Yasoukyoku (J)(Saturn)(ISO) folder, which contains a BIN and CUE file, both named ws-dracula_x...

How do i do this? What emulator am I supposed to use with this? I'm trying to use RetroArch, but it won't even detect the START file!

Hi, i've tried the Extended version converting it to play it on my PS4 with HEN and it runs normally but when i discovered the ultimate edition i did the same process but the game crashes, does anyone tried this version converted for PS4, if so, did someone found the solution for it ???

how do you apply a patch to a sega saturn rom, what program do you use?

This work on emulator? I use flycast on Android and don't work

Wish I could play this, but I'm not on windows and don't know how to apply the patch without it. The .BAT file doesn't work on linux.

Edit: it managed to get it working by running the bat file through the Wine Explorer. It won't work any other way. But now the map screen is broken? It's supposed to be Start then L, but nothing happens. Playing this game without a map is a nightmare.

has anyone tried this with saroo and check if 4M ram feature works on this hack?
because i can't and i don't see any difference (it slows down the same as config it without the ram)
the game id that saroo config needs is supposedly the same as original so maybe other people should check it out

I tried all night to get it working on my Retroid Pocket but it just refuses. I tried different emulators, I tried patching it myself, I tried the pre-patched version on CDRomance, I downloaded the correct disc image and BIOS from Archive. Still nothing. If anybody has any advice on how to get 1.1 to run on a retroid pocket, I’d greatly appreciate it. For reference, I have a pre-patched version of 1.0 from CDRomance saved and that works just fine on Yaba Sanshiro 2.

Only recently got into patching Saturn games, and this is really fantastic work, works beautifully on a Saroo with a fast SDXC Card and 4MB Ram extension.

Looks good. I wish the original Richter outfit were there though.

Sup guys, I just recently got the Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight Ultimate (PSP Script) (English Patched) for Saturn from CDRomance but it wont load at all. it only plays some spoken japanese audio from the Saturn system menu screen. What am I doing wrong? help from anyone would be apprecated! I am running on a MiSTer FPGA on the Saturn core

i just wanna say thank you for porting one of my favorite titles im still having trouble as i have 0 clue about emulation haven't done it since like... the early 2000s with snes and nes games but im figuring it out managed to load in richtor without issues loading alucard i just get a black screen after the title stuff but i will figure it out cuz i cannot wait to play through this version THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THIS FOLKS ill be donating as soon as i can get it running lol

You missed the opportunity to name it Castlevania: Nocturne in the Moonlight to differentiate it from the PS1 version. I don't like the name Dracula X.

The slowdowns at the wall with Medusa heads and other places with lots of sprites have pretty significant slowdowns on my Saturn . Anyone else experience this?
