How Do Property Taxes Work?

Property tax is actually "rent" you pay the real owner, the government. Stop paying it and see how long the government, (your landlord), sends armed personnel to force you out.....at the end of a gun if necessary.

Families have lost their homes that they’ve “BOUGHT” with their hard earned money, and now all of a sudden you need to pay taxes on your OWN home. American dream my ass. You’re flat out RENTING out your property if you still need to pay for something you already own. Plus our tax dollars hardly goes back to our public services.

So 1% tax paid yearly but collected in 2 separate months. Do you pay that 1% once in Nov. & again 1% in Feb?

Ex: million dollar home x 1% = 10k
10k in Nov. & 10k in Feb?
So together in less than 6 months i have to be ready for a 20k bill ???

Besides the county taxes we looking at other local taxes (municipal). Utilities maintaining repairs Isn’t just better to rent ?
