Fantastic Ian. I am going to get one of the drive-on masts. They look very useful. Thanks for a really good demonstration of portable work. 73

Like the hands on approach Ian, especially contesting RSGB and using Minos. I did my first entry earlier in the month on 2m. Pretty happy. I have made a 2m yagi for portable and going out to try it this weekend, hoping to use it next Tuesday night. Cheers, all the best, M7EGD, Gary

Great set up Ian, thanks for the video. The only Rx improvement from there would be a mast head preamp. Hope to hear you on 2m soon. 73 G0JLF.

432MHZ should yield a much leaner signal.

Was that under flat conditions? If so that was pretty good for 70 cm. Watching from the Midwest U.S.

Good one as always, Ian. Nice one.

I picked up the 110ah Exide. It's a warrior for sure. I need a box really - found them expensive for that size, so I'm eyes peeled for discounts/sales etc.
Is the inverter pure sine or modified and how is it with the lappy? That's next on the list. Another bloody minefield!

Cheers Ian,
Mick.

Thanks Ian, Another great insightful video. Great to see how others operate, not done 70cm contest to date so will look to give it a try. I am thinking of gettting a 991A. Looks really good. It seems it has auto call sign repeat function, is that correct? 73 2E0JFQ

You could mount the battery in the back in a box and use an anderson plug to connect to a DC charger so you can charge it with the engine.

Ian do you get any interference from the inverter, and what make and model is it please?
