I have a medium sized project I was working on yesterday with the latest version and unfortunately I will still getting the dreaded "rest of code remains unchanged" overwrites. I was lazy and was not watching some of the changes and it destroyed a bunch of work. The best advice is the advice you gave is "not to be lazy but inspect every line of code that's being changed". I think the saying you were looking for towards the end of this video is "the brakes on a race car the are there to make you go faster"

I think you're safe pronouncing Cline like the sir name (like kline) 🙂It might be a nice feature in Cline to have another model verify the changes that the first one made.

I laughed when i saw the 'the rest of the code remains unchanged' in the title. The number of times i have had to fight with AI about this is just beyond conprehension.

What is your favorite or most successful system primer prompt for cline?

Still messing my code up. And to make matters worse…it charges me for the privilege or removing my code!

i updated and within a few uses have still hit the problem of removing my code, i wonder why something like this never happens with Cursor
