Not a settler gang 💪🏾
ОтветитьI'm from Northern Scandinavia, i'm a settler on Sami land
ОтветитьJust because I live in stolen land, where the indigenous polulation was genocided to extinction and I benefit of it and the current oppression of the still living indigenous population of my country, doesn't mean I'm a colonizer!
Oh wait
Irish here. Only non-colonial country in Europe.
ОтветитьYes my great grandfathers tried to colonize Eastern Europe. One died in Sibiria, one in an american internment camp. But honestly they deserved it.
ОтветитьThank fuck I’m not a moniyaw
ОтветитьI’d be interested to hear your thoughts on the term “ally” and if it actually holds any weight. Most people here in Canada use the term to describe basically anyone who doesn’t like our history as a genocidal, settler-colonial state. However the term is basically useless since it doesn’t exclusively describe people who actively sabotage further colonial efforts and policies.
Ответитьpeople need to stop seeing colonizer as a value judgment, its a statement of someones status and background like noting someones class. Like yeah colonialism is bad but that doesnt make you individually a bad person and arguably thats irrelevant
ОтветитьI have a natural question here though: how do we compare the later largely poor settlers/migrants with the previous settlers who established the litteral colonies? I mean, we did establish what being white was founded as a legal category, but do the, for instance, Irish that fled to America from famine the British carelessly caused and the settler colonists that found the US colonies. The same goes for migrants of all other ethnicities that moved to the US (or any other settler state) after that like in the gilded age. Some of them like Italians, which fled miserable conditions, where victims of discrimination. It seems unjust to say there the same thing but it is also irresponsible to free them of all blame.
ОтветитьI am.. Puerto Rican sir 😎
Ответитьi honestly don't understand all the fuss. id rather be called a colonizer than living with the consequences of colonialism as I am now. it's like you benefit from the systems and don't want to be called out on it. for them colonization is an abstract concept that they're removed from, they don't understand the actual volume of suffering globally that occurs to enable their comfortable lifestyles. as long as the violence is outside their view it's okay, that's why the Vaush types cape for white south africans. because violence against them would be visible unlike the silent ways the natives suffer every single day.
ОтветитьYes, I am a colonizer, doesn't mean anything though, other than my ancestors didn't know about this side of the world until about 400 years ago.
Ответить"In the end, man is not entirely guilty — he did not start history. Nor is he wholly innocent — he continues it."
- Albert Camus, "The Rebel"
Edit: I know that Camus had a slightly paternalistic attitude towards Algerians, but this quote of his summarizes my views on settler colonialism (and many other horrible things western counties have done)
Colonizers be like "I'm not a colonerizer, but any and all attempts to decolonize means white genocide" same as racists saying "I'm not racist, but black people and white people need to be separate"
Ответитьmy country colonized and fucked up greenland. denmark
Ответитьwhat would I be considered if my parents moved from africa to america?
ОтветитьHa, you're wrong, I'm the the descendent of actual nazis, not just some random colonizers.
ОтветитьWhite people cant handle Land Back cuz it inconveniences them. Thanks my friend for another important upload
ОтветитьStop it
ОтветитьIt's like when I say "settler" and white people say that's a slur. It's not. It's a simple recognition of fact. I too, even as an Indigenous person, have benefitted from settler-colonialism because I look very white. Because my people, the Métis, look whiter than a lot of Natives in canada, we were used as puppets in the form of the Hudson's Bay Company―which literally owned canada in the eyes of the crown―until we got fucked over and started a civil war in 1869. If I can come to terms with my history and my place in this network of exploitation, why can't you?
ОтветитьSo basically the are experiencing a form of white fragility
ОтветитьThis doll is well aware it is a settler colonizer. It tries to do what little it is capable of to make amends for that, by condemning settler-colonialism and imperialism and trying to boost the voices of victims -- both of its own settler-colonialism and that of others -- when it can. It's not nearly enough, but the fact that so many sophonts are unwilling to even do that much is frankly terrifying.
ОтветитьMe😳 ?
Ответитьby your logic, you're a dirty colonizer. get yo' argentinian ass of that guarani land, or do you have double standards? you would probably call the guarani colonizers, not because they are actually doing colonialism, but because they are people you do not like. you don't like israelis, admit it. you call them colonizers even though they were the first people on that land. it's just racism from "progressives" who performatively posture they are "woke" or "enlightened" when in reality they give in to the same bullshit from society's cesspit of bad ideas.
ОтветитьI find it best to view my own country through the lens of it's early history, when successive waves of violent seafaring peoples fought to colonise a fertile archipelago, off the coast of mainland Europe, before they got even more proficient at seafaring, and the unfortunate problem spread worldwide.
ОтветитьI don’t really care
ОтветитьI'm glad I never knew my Dutch r*p1st great grandfather and my grandfather who's a result of that incident fought to kick the colonizer out, materially glad not to be a colonizer and don't identify myself as quarter or whatever % white, I'm proudly 0% white 😎
ОтветитьOnPoint for real
ОтветитьI am not a colonizer, I live in Germany as a German. Oh,... it's worse o.o;
Ответитьcoping and seething rn. only thing that could upset me more is being called a cr****r
Ответитьtrue
ОтветитьDon't care 😝
ОтветитьI'm from Britain; before it colonised the world it colonised it's self, via enclosure (the forcefull privatisation of land).
Enclosure kick-started the industrial revolution and urbanisation, which enabled British elites to export their base of power, first to island, then to America, and India and Africa and so forth. In all of these places they seeded new pockets of elite power and with that brought enclosure, patriarchy, Christianity, other systems of control. A large part of colonialism and the modern world is a result of the metastasized power structures that arose in medieval Europe. It's self haveing developed from the classical empires of Rome and Persia
This is disgusting even from left scum. As a proud member of the Herrenrasse we never paid reparations to any inferior races after ww2. Technically the ddr paid reparations to the ussr. Just ask Poland or Greece. It was all negotiated by a great man hans-dietrich genscher. Sadly he was a libertarian/liberal.
ОтветитьGib. Spices. Now.
ОтветитьPretty based as usual
ОтветитьAfrica is a shit hole without the white man lmao
ОтветитьWhat I can't come to terms with is that I feel like I'm dependent on land theft to have a state. Maybe i'm terrified of being a refugee because of what post-colonial authorities do to them. Maybe this is the real dissonance for individuals that make up oppressive majorities, 'better them than us but don't make me think about it'
I don't even know if it's a problem for some people. I've confided my abhor for the state of justice and was retorted with contempt: 'yeah, but I have a nice lifestyle'.
Nice to see that “original sin” is getting a new modern reboot
ОтветитьMore than most tbh, looking at my family history.
ОтветитьAll colonizers are bad, myself included. There may be colonizers who are otherwise good people, but there is no such thing as a good colonizer because of what a colonizer is.
Ответить😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьI was goin say white people are colonizers but blacks was the first to do it they colonize Europe the moors
ОтветитьThe so-called "decolonization" of the world was a huge fucking joke. Until all colonial empires have been abolished, until all land has been returned- without condition- until the very notion of 'indigenous' has been made obsolete by destroying the institutions that keep colonialism alive and well... there cannot be justice.
ОтветитьGuess I am evil now...
ОтветитьHey hey hey! ColoiSer mate
ОтветитьConquering should be admired.
ОтветитьWe are colonists but we have to oppose israel to stop this from happening again.
ОтветитьEquates modern day genocide and colonialism to colonialism that happened when the European powers were still fighting for dominance; they are not equivalent.
ОтветитьYou wonder why people criticize you for being anti-semitic; you non-stop complain about people who have done nothing wrong and try to equate them to their government. You would be a person criticizing Jews in the Holocaust because of their government was doing to them. It is not their fault their government is awful, despite your bad faith attacks against them. If equating a race/religion with their government isn't racist, what is?
Ответить
