I keep backsliding and then hating myself and running away from God. I'm so stuck and I don't know how to escape from this cycle of pain and shame

I don't believe in an "honeymoon" season! I mean, I know what you are talking about and I have experienced it before and I used to believe in it but I started studying what the Bible says about it and there is no such a thing as an honeymoon season that is suppose to come to an end the more we stay in a relationship with God. Infact, we see the more mature people are the more the grow intimate and grow in love. And in the letters to seven churches in Revelation we see it described twice in different ways and we see Jesus rebuking them and calling them to repentance. And there are so many old testament prophecies as well.

Girls gone Bible has become one of my favourite podcasts. I may be in my forties but I feel I can learn from younger people. I've been walking with God since my twenties. I just want to let both of you know that you are doing a good job on this podcast.

I love this, the past 3 weeks I just haven't been reading and studying the bible as much as I usually would, not giving God the time I usually would, and it has a lot to do with my work stress and the time I work (US hours in SAST). So it got tough, really actively tried to make a change this week and just as I wanted to play some gospel, this podcast topic popped up. I think its quite normal sometimes when life, lifes. As long as we allow God to catch us out and bring us back I believe his arms are always open. And in that I think we do grow more conscious and grow more spiritually because we have learned how to listen to God's voice when we slack and are able to do something about it, and this podcast took that growth further and gave me more contextual knowledge on this topic.

So grateful for these two and how they boldly share their faith and struggles. Truly feels like I get to hang out with my sisters and let them encourage me. Going through the most difficult season in my life and it’s the family of Christ that is helping me face the storm with some comfort. Thank you GGB 😊

I relate to this so much, I've always been a Christian but God "re-saved" me or however you'd say it in 2020. Up until last year, I hadn't really been backsliding and even the smallest choices to do so have had a huge negative impact. It's why I've walked away from church again honestly. Thank you for this!

In watching this again, I read Jeremiah chapter 2, that is a very scary chapter as I can sense those tendencies in me. Even as I read it I could sense something in me saying, don't read anymore of this, stop reading this, it's of no use! go have fun! And thankfully (because of your prayers and encouragement) I just knelt down and prayed for God's mercy and help. That was a scary chapter - please keep helping us and praying for us. Thank you GGB!

The following will prevent you from inheriting the Kingdom of God:
-Wearing makeup: this one many women try to defend but makeup is demonic and not of God. It’s Jezebel attire. It destroys you physically and spiritually. Don’t be deceived it’s worldly and women of God don’t wear makeup and if you want to inherit the kingdom of God you must repent of this. Jesus wants to set you free are you willing?
-Dressing immodestly: wearing short shorts, showing your body off, tank tops, short skirts, tight pants, you cannot expect to inherit the kingdom of God dressing this attire you must repent and dress modestly for Jesus. You are a stumbling block if you dress immodestly and leading men to Hell & you will not inherit the kingdom of God.
-Wearing nose rings, tongue rings, belly rings, this is worldly and you must repent of this.

-You MUST wear a head covering when you pray and prophesy if you don’t you are offending Christ. Your hair is not your covering you must cover your head. Many women are in disobedience for not wearing a head covering when they pray and prophesy and it’s a sin. You must please God and he is pleased when you obey him.

-It doesn’t matter what women profess Christ, how many followers she has, if she does the above regarding wearing makeup, dressing immodestly, wearing nose rings, etc she is leading you to Hell, don’t follow the crowd to Hell follow Jesus he is holy and you will not inherit the kingdom of God. This post is not debatable. This is 100% truth. Don’t hate the messanger who cares for your soul. I was delivered from the bondages of the devil. Please repent if you’re on the list of unholiness according to above. Be holy as Jesus is holy!

I keep messing up, smoking pot because i have autism and cant seem to deal with life without something. I love jesus so much i fear God and this is causing so much confusion for me. It helps me but then i feel guilt.... i just wanna be able to function feel peace and happiness with out substance. Please prayi over come this

its the flesh that keeps wanting to drag us back but we need to remember that when Jesus was crucified the old self of ours was put to death too! "Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

im a smoker, glutton too, internet addict, i have so much pride, and sadness and hate. and crazy thing when i smoke i tell myself, "arg God will forgive me", and honestly realising im actually a fool and this really spoke to me. im all of these things because i dont include God in my daily activities thats how i end up being a smoker, glutton an addict, with so much pride and sadness. but today im addmitting to all these things and hoping God transforms me. its really taking so much of my time i could spend doing important stuff instead of smoking i could be reading, or working and its going to hurt in the long run if i continue i can see it.

Jesus doesn’t want us to be on the fence or “lukewarm”

When he talks about Lukewarm he talks about the cold water that come from the mountains and the hot water that comes from the hot springs and there are rivers that make these waters meet and when they meet they become lukewarm and the water can no longer be used and it’s worthless

I been backsliding lately and today I came on a hike to talk to Jesus and listening to your podcast I’ve been pausing it and crying and praying and talking to God . I really needed this podcast today and after talking to God and asking for forgiveness for backsliding and sinning and falling short I listened to your podcast and it’s like God is talking to me back through you both and comforting me and answering my pain and cries , may God Jesus Christ continue blessing you both , you’re helping so many people you have no idea , Jesus is all loving and so good always ❤❤❤
