It’s doesn’t matter what aftermarket parts you throw at an off-road edition, it’s not going to be worth an actual trd pro when you want to sell it. I’d opt for a trd pro.

nice look, crap interoir, toyota, make the bed smaller, have it be an SUV- pick up cross over, most of us dont need that much space, but may want a bit more space than SUV, make the cabin bigger, and use the tunder's interoir please, the interoir of this is too open around the cup holders, give it a wood veneer, and licence the Silverado ZR2 the way they ues armour is great

why why why do seats and a full door in the back exist. fuck Toyota for taking away the access cab option and suicide door. i dont want 4 doors and i dont carry passengers I like the access cab and suicide door for storage access.

Niche market is right, fits right in the niche in the showroom where it will sit until some guy who makes too much money and bad financial decisions buys it.

I thinks it's a ridiculous thing to review a truck after a single week. Before the travesty that is the new Tacoma and Tundras, we bought a Toyota to last for decades. With this 4th gen, the transmissions seem to be an issue and the only people that want a turbo 4-banger in a Tacoma is NOBODY. Too many people making excuses for a company that said they had to go to a 4 cylinder while other companies still have 6 cylinders in their midsize trucks. Toyota has left truck owners. Luckily I got my 3rd gen and will keep it for as long as possible. If Toyota doesn't get their head straight, I've already bought my last Toyota.

Both G3 and G4 fender flares are made from plastic. Hack them up, either one, and the G3's are easily replaced, the G4's are just as easily replaced but must be painted. What, do you think you're going to hack up G4 fender flares and then fill them and then paint them? The expense of the body work alone will cost more than replacing G3 fender flares..

Piped in exhaust notes are bad enough, coming over your speakers is just plain wrong.

You think they could fit some more in-your-face badging? At least on the G3 TRD-Pro's its more (not much) subtle..

The average owner isn't going to be working on that engine.. I can do most everything but maybe a total rebuild on a G3 engine. And sure, you're going to need all that extra torque and power to haul that extra 1800lbs of batteries and electric motors around. 1800lbs more is what I want in every off-road vehicle.. or vehicle I'm buying tires for.

$20,000 more for some soft touch panels..

Expensive not really, a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon X can be optioned up to 70 grand & it doesn’t offer anything special like the Toyota does.

You can’t compare or substitute a turbo 4 banger with a diesel from Toyota. Totally different engines lol. I’m sure this new engine will be a great engine given their history with engine building but there are some red flags that have come about with the company over the last couple of years. It’s impossible to deny the fact that the Toyota reliability that everyone is accustomed just isn’t there with these new generation vehicles.

This thing looks like it was designed by a bunch of teenage boys and marketing interns. Comes off as immature and gimmicky. Toyota needs new leadership.

These are among the best off road midsize trucks as they have been for a couple decades. But for my money it would be a trail hunter or TRD Off road.

Rather have a year old used Ford Raptor for the $68k. Way more truck and overall use ability.

I test drove this model and a 2024 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X w/ comparable bells-and-whistles w/ a V6. Guess what a I bought for 15K less?

Cabin needs to be bigger, or people won't buy this truck

Woulda taken more bed cubbies over the automatic tailgate. An extra 6” of rear seat space over the wide fenders. Better interior materials (I.e. soft touch) over the iso dynamic seats.
