That's such a gem not too many people can find a car that original but like you said it doesn't have to be perfect I'm working on mine it still has a lot of rush it runs good but it has a lot of rust but I still drive it to the grocery store It's a 65 Mustang with the original motor transmission everything even interior original driver seat needs to be recovered it has a straight 6 in it which I'm happy with I bought it from the original owner I enjoy your videos Jim keep them up
ОтветитьIts a 60 years old new car.🙂
ОтветитьYou will need new valvecover gaskets, and the oil loosing problem is fixed.🙂
ОтветитьI watched your video on the 63 Ford and loved it!!Love that body style and that car is pristine.I don't blame you for keeping it!Keep up the great finds and videos and I'll be watching.
ОтветитьCream puff
ОтветитьOMG!! Not a spot of rust on that car! That thing belongs in a museum!!
ОтветитьWow, Jim, that car is Musiem quality, and i glad you held on to it as you are the perfect person to keep it in the condition it's in. It goes to show the style of the 60s and 70s and the detail that went into these cars, not like the plastic junk we have today
ОтветитьConsidering the old crates I see Dalton working on the fact that there's not a dent or speck of rust on this thing is incredible.
ОтветитьThis is wonderful you and your wife doing this I just got me a 1958 Edsel corsair and we’re gonna do the same thing
ОтветитьWhat an AMAZING car! It's like it just rolled off the assembly line! Thanks Jim for sharing this one! and remember........ Even a broken clock is right twice a day!
ОтветитьThat's an Amazing find!!! Never let that car go!!!!
ОтветитьThat has been in a garage all of it's life.
ОтветитьThank you for taking such good care of such a beautiful car. That overdrive makes all the difference in the gas mileage! I'm so glad to see somebody like a car for what it is instead of what its financial worth is.
ОтветитьThx for showing. Great car Jim.
ОтветитьGreat car Jim!
ОтветитьDang, what an amazing find!
ОтветитьWow what a car. Galaxies are my favorite. I've owned a few. I remember as a kid visiting at my uncles his neighbor had a 63 fastback black with a red interior console with floor shift. You have to realize I was a kid of about 6 in 1966 I was totally blown away by this car. I wouldn't sell that car either Jim . It's beautiful . 😊
ОтветитьWow.. amazing beautiful vehicle
ОтветитьThe cars that I have been rescuing are way beyond “revive and drive it home” condition. They are more like “make sure the parts are secure enough to not fall off while dragging it back home” condition. You “revive and drive” people are just like spoiled millionaires to me! Must be nice!
ОтветитьI took my driver's test in a 62 galaxie 500 with the 292 Y block and the 2 speed Ford O Matic . Same color as this one. It's all we could afford but I loved that car.
ОтветитьGreat video JIm! That car is really nice. I have always liked the tail lights and grill on the Galaxy's.
ОтветитьAmazing Jim, what a car! You’ll probably have to change that new fuel pump before you change anything else!! Hope you take us along on more of yours and Pam’s adventures!
ОтветитьHi , mate ..I'm from Australia and I own a 62 Galaxie 500 Victoria..but it's not an original like this 4 dr ..
Wow , believable. 👍👌.. good buy
That is beyond stunning!
ОтветитьSuperb video.
ОтветитьI have enjoyed every single second of this video. Man that is a unique time capsule. You are happy lucky owner. Greets from Gino Poland
ОтветитьGood bloke, excellent vlog, super skills…
ОтветитьIt's interesting how they could be ordered back then. My '63 may look like a twin to yours, but mine came with an automatic, power steering, cloth interior, and windshield washers, but it didn't come with the padded dash like yours.
Michael Rusche
Cool car
ОтветитьGreat car!
ОтветитьMy sister had this identical car. Dad bought it for her for graduation in 1976. She wanted a new Chevy Vega. Dad worked at the GM Lordstown plant. So obviously he bought her a 1963 Galaxie instead 😆. Sister would pack us up and take us to the lake. The sounds of Boz Scaggs Lowdown coming out of that AM radio ❤️
ОтветитьJim, not only is that galaxy awesome but you do a fantastic job of explaining the back story of the car. You’ve gained yourself a new fan of the channel! Found you over on pole barn garage.
ОтветитьBeautiful revival Jim, so glad you documented it
ОтветитьThat's a very awsome car jim
ОтветитьThe 61-67 Ford Galaxies were some of the best built, highest quality domestic cars ever built. We bought a 64 with. 352 and 4 v and ac used in 1966 and drove it 180000 miles in the next 30 years. It needed one water pump and three brake jobs. When I sold it, in the mid 90’s, it used a little oil , but the ac blew ice cold and you could hear a pin drop at 80 mph. Great video, great car——looks like it’s a year old—-and it’s a keeper. Too cool!
ОтветитьGotta love a revive and drive!
ОтветитьI think the older videos and pics really showed your genuineness man. I'm from NZ we rarely see these cars. Appreciate the video lots.
ОтветитьThat's so impressive!
ОтветитьUnbelievably clean. Wow
ОтветитьJim from pbg with Dalton. Love it I found your channel.
ОтветитьI'm not a Ford guy, but can appreciate a beautiful survivor like this. Such a unique color too. Best chrome I've maybe ever seen on an old car. Would be curious as to how much it set you back.
Ответить👍👍😎
ОтветитьGot a 68 Galaxie. Former "undercover" police detective's car. The "Interceptor" package with a 390.
Was given to me, via a will. A best friend willed to to me when he died in 2011. A well kept and maintained machine. It's a rocket ship, designed to catch bad guys. Pictures? I'll send you some, Jim. The images are on a hard drive hiding in my junk here somewhere.
It commands, PULL OVER, but has that sleeper look too. It drives, drags, does burnouts, gets groceries, and takes you to church....when not catching bad guys..haha..
Brief history: my friend, much older than me (I was still a little kid), bought it at a police surplus auction, after he came home in 1975 (Vietnam, 101st Airborne). He owned it from 1975 to 2011, the year he willed it to me and passed away. I've decorated the interior of the car with his military patches, insignia, and the law enforcement agency's logos on the dash pad and rear deck.
I have an original car, my 91 Buick Lesabre Limited. It still has the original hoses on it, and it has 87,000 miles. I've videoed this car alot. The car was my grandma's car and it spent it's life in northern New York and it still has its floors!! I love this car. Your galaxie is gorgeous!!
ОтветитьWhat a awesome car jim you will never find another one that good of condition
ОтветитьI love that body style. Big 60s land yachts are my jam. And hey, next time you're in Colorado, you've got another friend in the Denver/ aurora area if you need anything!
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful car Jim! So glad you and Pam got to enjoy it together on the ride home. What a keeper!
ОтветитьI own a 1962 mercury meteor. VERY similar. Awesome
ОтветитьJim, I love that car. I have been in love with the 1963 Ford Galaxie since my dad’s cousin took me for a ride in his beautiful 2 door from Texas. I just recently purchased my very own 1963 Galaxie base 4 door. Mine also has the three on the tree with a 289 V8, almost as original but not as good looking paint. But still a beaut of a car with I am pretty sure is 66978 original miles. I am just excited to get this car back on the road and cruise it around. This video has just made me respect you and all the others out there that still love these older cars. Thank you for being an inspiration.
