If they removed the romance montages and slowly built it up as the movie progressed maybe it wouldve been more digestable that way. Like how leia and han grew closer going thru so much shit. With anakin and padme it was like throwing 2 hot young adults in a room and telling them to go for it.

Bobs holding the helmet instead of his fathers head is classy. It is kid friendly, but also signals the side of his dad Boba is mourning and the side he will emulate.

Maybe the three ties chasing the x-wing and the x-wing itself are actually precursor ships to those, they just looked a lot like them.

I know you compared this to macb… I mean the Scottish play, but this part and it’s ending reminds me a lot more of Romeo and Juliet. There’s a doomed forbidden marriage at the end of the middle part of the story. That’s literally Romeo and Juliet. The main characters of the romance both die like in that one two.

Here's a cool easter egg, Jango Fett shoots and kills Coleman Trebor and falls to his death. Then Jango spins, stop and Holstering his gun. Reference to Robocop. At the end Robocop shoots Jones thru the window and falls to his death and Robocop spins, stop and Holstering his gun.

Erik Voss says that the romance between Anakin and Padme only happens “because the script says so.” I disagree, like the Doctor Zhivago, their romance is also rooted in their deep moral decisions. They’re separated by class and are honour bound by their duties as a Jedi and a Senator respectively.

Ah yes Senator Padme “The Groomer supreme” Amidala definitely wasn’t the creepy one in this series. This terrible movie led to the best cartoon series weird.

One does not simply understand Dooku’s motivations until one has truly lived. Only then do we know that the world cannot be fixed, it is time to start over.

Always thought this was the worst film of the franchise as well. The movie goes about an hour with just talking and then about 30 min battle. Yoda’s lightsaber duel is the only thing worth saving.

Remember in Empire Strikes Back, Luke had to jump into the swamp to save R2? How pissed would Luke have been to find out he can fly?

The action and effects in AOTC are practically second to none in the saga. It still deserves respect

Attack of the Clones is my favorite of the first six movies. While the relationship between Anakin and Padme is rough at times, there are also some good scenes, like before they enter the arena. The arena battle is my all-time favorite of all Star Wars battle scenes. The fight with Dooku is also very good.

Do you not know anything about men and women? Padme went for the bad boys, and in response he slaughterd millions. Women can find serial killers attractive...so, there is no logical there to begin with.

Fun Fact: In movies the heroes walk from left to right (like we read and write) and villains walk from right to left. The clones in the movie walk from right to left in the battle, foreshadowing the betrayel of order 66

i think this is the worst of the prequels...and Phantom Menace is the 2nd best of them.

Why criticize the movie for having such powerful scenes, when thats what makes it so incredible? A little more maturity would be nice...the humanity and passion before darkness takes everything over is just amazing writing.

I watched Episode 2 in IMAX, It had to be cut down by 15 minutes which meant we lost much of the courtship and it WAS SO MUCH BETTER!

Attack of the Clones is better than any of the sequel trilogy films. At least as far as common sense goes in the Star Wars universe lore. Like completely destroying characters and story lines beyond repair.

So the dialogue in this movie is so bad it’s comical. Hayden Christensen does do the material any favors with the terrible line reading makes
