ОтветитьHi, since hearing your music, crossing all styles including the hairdos, my children and grandchildren love it.
ОтветитьTruly evocative of Irish immigrant young love in London
ОтветитьMo chroi my heart my love all one n the same
ОтветитьMuh hree
ОтветитьThe Forum where I first saw Cale for example. Name changed to Town and Country. Run from 80s by Irish guy who had a second hand furniture shop on Kilburn High Road (little Ireland) who also owned The Grand in Clapham where I saw Kris Kristofferson. And Dubliners. Tony used to rage that an Irish guy was monopolising the London music scene..... Vince Powers. But if it wasn't for Vince no-one in London would have heard the pogues or Dubliners as well as many non Irish acts. Kinda weird argument. He wasn't stopping anyone else buying up the venue's as far as I know
ОтветитьHe owned tiny place Highbury n Islington where I first saw Tinder sticks in early 90s
ОтветитьThink Vince also ran Finsbury Park events which loads of ppl did Dylan Neil Young etc
ОтветитьUp about to make coffee. Love u mo chroi x
Ответитьthinking mis May get yourself downunder to a musical festival, bluse , rock, folk
ОтветитьCan't wait for 19th

ОтветитьSaw Cale for first time in that Forum there in early 90s. Saw others there too.

ОтветитьDelighted to have finally heard Imelda sing. She’s so talented - how did I never hear her til now? ❤
ОтветитьLovely song. I started my business in Kentish Town 30 years ago. It was a mad old place.
ОтветитьDarrell Higham and Imelda… touch of magic there. ❤
ОтветитьIt's our anniversary today, Dec 28 ..its our song
ОтветитьI think is her best, love her
ОтветитьEvery immigrant to London when young probably loves this. A beautiful song. ❤
ОтветитьKentish Town where I first saw so many greats. I particularly remember it was there I first saw John Cale in his Fragments time in early 90s.
ОтветитьMy Goodnees what a Gift
ОтветитьThis is my song for us....Glen&Shari

ОтветитьI love this song. It sounds as if it describes the love of me and my late wife, Ina. I will always love and miss her.
Ответить🙏
ОтветитьWhat a mighty song! And a life I wish I'd had.
ОтветитьFantastic singer..she's unique. Love this song
ОтветитьDo you remember we traipsed around
From pub to pound shop, through Kentish Town?
Only a fiver to our name
The drunk on the doorstep had more to our shame
Living over the offie had its trials
The fights all night out there and inside
And those stews that lasted three days into four
And the dreaded baliffs returned to our door
But we stook with each other with all our might
We pulled it together and held on tight
And I'm glad for us, yeah, I'm glad, Machree
But it's nothing to anyone 'cept you and me
There were wrongs for every right
There's ups and there's downs
But you're the one for all my life
My true love I have found, yeah you, my love I found
I watched the moon cover the might of the sun
The weird eerie light at a quarter past one
And I knew in my head as I lay in my bed
That you'd stay in my heart 'til the day I was dead
We killed each other and loved in time
And laughed 'til we almost cried
Yeah, we cried as well when it all went to hell
And my heart, it broke 'til I swear it died
But we stook with each other with all our might
We pulled it together and held on tight
And I'm glad for us, yeah, I'm glad, Machree
But it's nothing to anyone 'cept you and me
There were wrongs for every right
There's ups and there's downs
But you're the one for all my life
My true love I have found, yeah you, my love I found
Oh, you're good at the things that I'm hopeless at
And I notice what you ignore
But it's when I see you're not prefect for me
It's then I love you more and more
And we stook with each other with all our might
We pulled it together and held real tight
And I'm glad for us, I'm glad, Machree
But it's nothing to anyone 'cept you and me
There were wrongs for every right
There's ups and there's downs
But you're the one for all my life
My true love, I have found, yeah you, my love I found, ooh
There were wrongs for every right
There's ups and there's downs
But you're the one for all my life
My true love I have found, yeah you, my love I found
❤

ОтветитьI love this
ОтветитьThis was my Mother's funeral song,as she was lowered down,My Mother May was a Dublin Woman,Lord Rest Her
ОтветитьThis song was played in Germany at the Žekeznica station in the city of Cologne, and in 2012 I went with my mother from Serbia as an asylum seeker and I heard this song for the first time at that place in the train station, it stayed in my memory and I found it every time I play this song, I go back to my childhood and my life abroad, and I have always loved great Brotania because of good music and good beer. I am currently playing the guitar and I am working to play this song so that the villagers can hear what good music is. Happy new year 2024 and I love all good people who love imelda may
