if the walking dead had these zombies then the military being easily overrun would make sense walkers are too slow even in groups to be a real threat

Though the "Red Death Virus" is a television thing, surprisingly It's not all that hard to cook up, really, it isn't. Take a virus that naturally attacks the brain, say...Meningitis. Dig into it's DNA and remove the whole deadly part and let's say, "program it" to attack the limbic system. Now I do admit, this is seriously dumbing down the process substantially, but for the sake of peoples understanding it, well, these are as close to layman's terms as I can contrive,. So we attack the limbic system sending survival instinct, anger, hunger into massive overdrive. What do we have? Basically a man-eating monster that'll tear people apart at the seams. Now, grant it that this would be many, MANY years of research, but it has been many years since the concept has been introduces so my question is simply... Which governments mad fucking scientists will be the first to do this and loose control of containment of it??? And before you disregard me and this as simple lunacy... Didn't they take the AIDS virus and "program" it to attack leukemia? If I can figure this out at shit for a salary, think what a fully funded scientist can do...

Z nation was soo intense at times like don’t get me wrong they had humor then boom intense ass shoot outs brutal deaths I was like holy hell this getting good then black summer 😱😱😱😱❤️ the intensity and ruthlessness it reminds me of 28 days or weeks later but unlike the infected these guys don’t just die in a few months via starvation!

Much as I love Z Nation, I was not unhappy that it finished. Lots of shows go on until they are unwatchable😢

The zombies in Black Summer felt like it just wanted to transfer as much as possible, not really eat the victims. I'll go back and pay attention, but they seem to just bite and move on.

How can black summer be anything related to z nation when one's a comedy sketch to the walking dead and the other is serious in tone and delivery.

Loved Black Summer. Hated Z Nation. I like my zombie movies and shows on the series note. I had high hopes when Z Nation was about to come on. I got through the 1st and maybe some of the 2nd but it was too foolish for me. Black Summer was so good though. Wish it was still going.

I loved both shows for different reasons. Black Summer was just brutal and their lives were expendable, no matter what character it was lmao Z Nation was great. It took itself seriously when it needed to, but it also very self aware with the goofiness, so it didn’t ruin it. Murphy was such a great character. I was rooting for him from the start.

Black summer was one of the greatest zombies shows out there. Waaaaay better than walking dead. It's up there with the Last of Us. Too bad it was cancelled 😞

Just so everybody knows the zombie virus. If you’re bitten, doesn’t kill you you’re still alive just rotting away as the virus controls your body it was shown whenever Murphy was listening zombies, mine and a man, trapped in a car was asking where his daughter was to himself as the zombie was just growling

God, this this goes from ok to horseshit pretty fast.
They go out and get captured, have to escape, and fight zombies along the way. Then they go out and get captured, have to escape, and fight Zobies along the way.
I liked the black woman and the Hippy doctor, but everyone else was like, nothing.
