we had a neighbor who loves posting just about everything about their private life. she loves posting the dramas and her beef with other people too.. then one day in just one week she lost the happy life she had been bragging about in social media. her husband died, the new car was taken away because as it turned out, it was just a company issued car and all the house renovations and new appliances were loaned. they were so broke and deep in debt that the husband could have lived but was so hesitant to go to a hospital for a simple cough that turned into a fatal full blown lung infection. people said that the evil eye finally got her . I've been cautious since then.

As a muslim woman I use to think that being in social media is just like going outside, but now i actually believe the more privacy you have the more freedom you will get specially in marriage, and most importantly the more protected you will be. Still this is life and nobody is perfect

I stopped to follow the couples months ago, as I found they are too much exposed in public, and too much secret are revealed. while the private life in marriage should not be shared neither in social media neither with anyone else. I am still shocked about the divorce though, was not expecting, but it follows many other that they were too much idealized and divorced and showed everything in social media !

Both men and women on social media may be showing off how attactive they are. Both men And Women. Not just women as Islam has double standards accusing solely women of being vain.
And women wearing hijab but „still showing off their looks” is Muslim mens’ obsession. So only a woman with a Afgan total face covering would be „not vain” but a man can wear what he wants no face or head covering like a woman has to. And even if women were on social media their face all coverered then Muslim men would still say „She is showing off her sweet voice and words”.

Islam just wants women locked up away and caged in house which are like prisons away from the eyes off the public.


You take a few grains of truth eg that many people not just women are showing off their looks or possessions or family to boost their self-worth, and that many Social Media couples AND FAMILIES are faking it for views — and then make the conclusion a radical Muslim conclusion treating women unfairly suggesting they do more than men.
