Why the Dream SMP 2 FAILED...

Sorry for no uploads recently, been fully focusing on my other channel because I really want to make some cool minecraft story videos. Will try to upload on here more often, especially with these new servers coming back around :)

it should be like technoblade was still there, like as a memory, someone to look up to like how he saved everyone well i mean not everyone ofc theres still the sexual abusers and creeps
like it should be every survivor of the dream smp looking up to technoblade for motivation that should be the thing

It's kinda sad how Techno's death ended up causing the end of the Dream SMP. He was truly a huge character.

I think the way the smp ended felt quiet rushed in my opinion I would've preferred to have everyone come together and go there separate ways (obviously have dream and Tommy sort there differences first) or just something around that logic, rather than a big bomb hits them and there all dead

The main reason is that with techno being gone season 2 just wouldn’t work at all and season 1 ended on a great note anyway

my opinion is they SMP was a hit because of covid. Hear me out. We had nothing to do, being locked in our houses. Most shows suffered. Films were rubbish and then suddenly these college students made a series injecting Breaking Bad, Hamilton, politics and more. And it worked. With fan-animators like SAD-ist adding to the mix made the whole thing explode.

When Alex (Technoblade) passed away and the series eventually ended, the lockdown was over. Dream made that voice to text so people all over the world could play on a single SMP, something Quackity then incorporated into the future QSMP. Dream had plans for his second season but wanted the amnesia to hold, so people like Philza would have to pretend to forget Technoblade, something Philza wasnt up for doing. Then the whole Dream and Quackity drama hit, the QSMP hit and most of the fanbase was either indifferent or just busy with school and work to really care.

I think it would be cool if dream smp like made techno a god, like a god of war that abolished government and got involved in mortal life. So He’s basically a god that died a hero in mortal world too and someone’s basically trying to avenge him by taking down government and following in technos footsteps

They could have phil or anyone else who wants to remember techno have distant memories.
I understand their sentiment though.

They should not do a second season they just lost a great friend I think not doing it will make them a bit better because losing someone that you know is really hard to deal with sometimes but they will be happy and doing something else they want as friends is good.

I wish they would have done it but as new charters under new names but the dream smp event where in old history book and statues

I think dsmp season 1 was perfect and ended well, and part of its charm was its growth- just people playing minecraft. Untilt he story got added ofc

Canonically Technoblade never dies so he stayed in the 1st world

Dream smp was pretty much dead after Dream was locked up. It was getting worse after L'manberg died. Having to wait months for new lore updates ruined any hype, the worst part was that Techno was the one putting in most of the effort before he passed

They should do a complete reboot and have people know techno and just have more improv with points they have to hit

I came up with a theory about the DSMP Finale so dark that I would prefer to erase the series from all memory than let it end like this.

Trigger warning: invalidated Aesop, revealing Dream and Punz as f-ing *heroes*, showing that everyone failed, eternal darkness, etc



Now that the series is done and the afterlife wasn’t fixed… it’s confirmed that the only people to not suffer eternal torment at the hands of death are her lover and some of his friends with the possible exception of Technoblade because he’s from “somewhere else” and Wilbur because he left which shows just how disgusting she is. When Tommy gave his speech to Dream and Punz about impermanence he was wrong. The only “ending” that comes from dying in that land is the status of not suffering eternal torment… and that invalidates every lesson about death being inevitable. When the arrogant Sisyphus suffered eternal torment for cheating death several times he made things worse for himself. But Dream and Punz lived in a world where the dead suffer eternal torment NO MATTER WHAT! This combined with Tommy, Tubbo, and Jack blowing everyone up makes me think the Dream SMP finale was inspired by SCP-5000… a world in which OMNICIDE WAS A GOOD IDEA! Both pragmatically and **morally**. Even if their chances of uprooting the world’s order were next to nothing they were willing to become absolute monsters for the slightest chance to save everyone from their disguising fate.

Tl;DR: Death in the Dream SMP makes Satan look like Hades or Osiris… completely fair without a hint of good or evil.

If Techno were still here, im sure season 2 would have happened, it would have been so good <3

I thought it was dragged on for too long, they should’ve ended season 1 when Dream went to the prison instead of dragging it on and on, long after most members who played a main character had moved on to other SMPs and/or gotten busy due to the pandemic ending.

Also, as someone who just learned a lot of Spanish from a semester studying abroad in Madrid, this QSMP sounds very interesting. While I’m on summer break, I could learn some more Spanish from watching it

its cuz of the fanbase ttbh...too many people expected stuff and also its cuz the ccs would struggle to pretend that they dont know each other, sicne it was based on having no memory

tommy's motivation to make his own SMP is great news to me, he makes the best minecraft videos. i love the crazy modded side of his content as well as the chill vanilla side. i would literally pay so much to see it happen :)
