Do you make your own colors or do you find those matte colors in dr Phil Martins? I recently switched over to liquid acrylics for more pigment
Ответитьhey Joe,
nice video, very soothing and also thank god for the chill music. Would it be possible maybe to make another video, exactly like this but narrating the functions you use with the i-pad? that would be a lot of help for a beginner. Just a suggestion :)
Thank you!
Hey boss, super-rad lesson. I really dug it. Quick question; It looks like you were possibly using a thicker liner pen on this flash piece (I could be totally wrong) than what was listed on the materials page on your site. I grabbed everything off your list but think my new liner (non-tapered, 1.0) may still be a bit too thin. Do you recommend a thicker pen for a medium to large piece like in this lesson? If so, what size? Thanks again man, you’re gnarly.
ОтветитьAll of the flash looks great, especially when only the black shading has been applied (blackwork traditional fan here). Great work!
ОтветитьYour videos have really helped me I felt stuck while trying to do traditional designs but I feel more at ease when I watch your vids! Also didn’t realize how much I’d enjoy spit shading it’s way easier than what I was doing !!
ОтветитьThank you broder! Really helpful!
ОтветитьWhat drawing tablet are you using?
ОтветитьWhat pen are you using to line?
*silly me, just seen the description haha. Awesome work man!!
Hi. I think digital helps us a lot. I do most of the styles and now learning traditional and I would waste so much paper and if you use Archers, which is shit expensive here in poland you gonna waste a lot of money. So you sketch and train yourself digitally then switch to traditional. With oil or acrylic painting is slightly different. You paint and half of it just happens on itself.
Ответитьwhat’s the iPad program you’re using to sketch?
ОтветитьIf you don’t mind me asking what tablet are you using ?
Ответитьlove your videos! can i ask what the palette is that you used for ink? the hexagons
ОтветитьTe sigo desde argentina amigo, un trabajo fenomenal!!!! Te felicito Bro!!!
ОтветитьNice!
ОтветитьWhat app are you using on the iPad ?
ОтветитьAre you filling and shading with the winsor and newton drawing ink or with a black watercolor?
Ответитьgood job !! thanks for share the knowledge greetings from Mexico
Ответитьpleeease tell me more about the procreate brush setup :)
ОтветитьSo inspiring to watch! Wow! Thankyou for showing this process. ❤️
Ответитьyou are providing very high quality video that is why you are an artist. :D
ОтветитьTry Minwax Golden Oak stain. Put in a fine mist spray bottle and coat evenly.
ОтветитьThis might be a stupid question, but do you keep a bowl of spit on the side? Or do you just lick the brush? Just thinking when using the black ink brush you would stain your tongue or something haha
ОтветитьWhat printer do you use to print out your design from the iPad?
ОтветитьWhat tablet/ app do you use
ОтветитьSo where’s the spit shade video ? 😑 cool painting by the way real smooth 👏🏼
ОтветитьHave you used talen ecoline watercolour brush pens? Tossing up between buying those or the ink them selves
ОтветитьJust a quick question for an aspiring tattoo artist, would it be wrong of me if I copied just traditional flash tattoo designs from google to my portfolio that I’m making?? Cuz I’m not exactly sure how to draw certain things without looking at it really :/ but I don’t want to be looked at wrongfully…
ОтветитьYour videos are a god send, I appreciate you being open about your own artistic process mate!
ОтветитьSuper rad
ОтветитьWhat kind of pen is that?
ОтветитьThis is an amazing resource thank you so much!
Ответитьsick tutorial, thanks for all the info
ОтветитьLove this video! I have been using Pigma Micron pens to outline my drawings..and I’m seeing some bleeding when it come to start painting it, how can I avoid bleeding of the outline into the color fill in? Is it the pens I’m using?
Ответитьplain black tea for stain ;)
ОтветитьThank you so much Sober Joe, you have helped me bring my art to another level. Sometimes you get lost trying to figure out what art material will work for you and what technique may help you improve. With your guidance, I feel like I am on the right track to make timeless and beautiful work. Thanks again Joe!
ОтветитьAwesome video. Thank u so much. I am just getting into this type painting and hoping to tattoo someday. I would love to hear more about the spit shading as well.
ОтветитьCame across your page it’s fantastic and would love to see a tutorial on spit shading it’s on of the things I was weak at.
ОтветитьThanks Sober Joe, I’m a multi-gen, but traditionally schooled artist.“Tatted” friends have told me I should consider acquiring a Flash technique and putting some of my creations in a “flesh venue”. thanks for these tutorials. You have amazing skill, and have “earned your chops”. How can I find out more about the brushes and iPad
and any software ect. Please mention it by name in a future video. Thanks. Grateful to see you work.👍🏻
love it! what brushes are you using?
ОтветитьWhen you paint the black fades, you use watercolor or indian ink? Thanks in advance!!😊
ОтветитьMan that staining is integral 👏🏻
ОтветитьDo you add water to ecoline?
ОтветитьThis video is a masterpiece, thank you for sharing 🔥
Ответитьhey joe your ecoline looks more opaque then the regular ones that you buy from an arts and crafts store? do you add some type of solution?
ОтветитьHi Joe can i ask you witch software is this ? coplimenti per i tuoi video e un saluto da Roma....
ОтветитьHello, can u tell me the golden brown code ? The last one the colored. I’m looking at this color thank you very much.
ОтветитьAwesome, thinking about bringing this in as an assignment for my high school arts class as an excuse for them to create something they never would in another class and to teach them about tattoo history. Very cool.
ОтветитьBeautiful work
ОтветитьSatisfying, well done!
ОтветитьI’m just getting into drawing traditional flash and I’m keen to learn new techniques and what equipment is best to use, this video is extremely inspiring!! Thanks☺️
