Yeah, gaming industry feels like its become more focused on profits and patches rather than putting out a good product first that can be enjoyed by a wider audience.
Feels very insulting that if we cant pay up were not true fans..

I mean they’re not wrong, that’s why collectors editions exist… doesn’t mean the standard copy should go up..

There are "fans" and there are "fanatics". Similar words, ginormous difference. First give the respect to their favorite thing, but have open mind to critizise it as well as praise it. Second are the cancer of this world. They will buy a thing even before it's shown because they buy the brand, not the content. And they will defend any even very obvious bullshit with the most dumb and non-logical takes imaginable. And this second group is so higihly widespread in gaming that we start to have more and more unfinished and trash state games and all those price increases. Because those above have noticed that stupid people are very good source of money (they always were in every single time period known to mankind).
