Chucky is loosely based on Robert, the Doll, a real life haunted doll that is said to be cursed. Robert the Doll was given to a young boy named Robert Eugene Otto, whom the doll was named after. Eugene kept the doll into adulthood, and it terrorized his wife, leading her to insanity. Does anyone notice the similarities between Andy, Chucky, and the story of Robert, the doll in this scene?
