Classic bit. They did something very similar later in their career in the Lucy Show too - the scene with the TV antenna on the roof and again with Mr. Mooney in the tree house.

I have watched “I Love Lucy” since 1951. I was just a kid but I said to my mom, it’s so windy up there, but the clothes hanging on the clothesline are not moving.

I always loved Lucy’s idea shortly before this board scene: “One of us could jump off, and a crowd would gather, and then she could tell the people I was up here!” LOL

WHen I wake up after a sleep that is what I say, TOO: "I wonder what YEAR it is..." LOL!

Never really like Ricky's deep roaring laughs. They sounded fake .

I remember watching these on a crappy television at my grandma's house back on Ohio.
She only had one TV on the whole house, and it was in her bedroom.
I'm so glad to have sat and sucking down on sugar cereal was what we did.

Lucy didnt want vivian as a co-star because she was too pretty and would detract from lucy's character as a tom boyish beauty..she was hired on the condition her character would be older and dressed down compared to lucy..writers gave her about 25% of the lines as a rule in duet scenes.

i hav the whole series but have never watched past the ones were they moved out of new york, cause you can tell they werent in love anymore, maybe today ill watch, because i love lucy
