I just had to make leg warmers for my parent's dog. She was chewing a spot on her leg, so we wanted to cover it with something soft and breathable. I specifically wanted to use a foundation stitch to keep it nice and stretchy and soft for her! So thank you, I just used this example this morning to make her legwarmers!
ОтветитьThank you. You give very clear instruction.😊
ОтветитьThis is brilliant! Thank you 🤩
ОтветитьHello, I was wondering how to join the first rank when you want to crochet in circle...
ОтветитьYour explanations and stitching are EXCELLENT - tfs!
Ответить50 yrs crocheting. Just now finding out this is a thing.😢 My stuff could have looked so much more "finished". TYSVM Toni. I really do love your channel.❤❤❤❤❤ Love from TN.
ОтветитьVery clear instructions, thank you
ОтветитьThankyou! so helpful and easy to follow along, I got it first time. You're a great teacher :)
ОтветитьThank you so much for showing how to do the 2nd row because that's what I've been trying to figure out and the tutorials of foundation stitches i watched doesn't show it
ОтветитьTy so much. I watched a few before I found yours. I wasn't understanding it at all but once I watched your video I got it. I also appreciate you showing us how to continue after. Ty❤
ОтветитьOh my god thank you !
ОтветитьI have watched and referenced this video SO many times because I usually start with magic circles and need the refresher. Thanks Toni for the great video! 😊
ОтветитьAwesome directions explaining this beautiful technique. Crochet has become such a learning experience with new ways to create a smoother finish for projects.
ОтветитьI love all your tutorial vids, and I prefer your channel for learning. I even refer people to your vids. But since I direct people here, I would like to provide some constructive feedback: please don’t say things are “easy-peasy”…it may make someone struggling to learn feel stupid and incapable. I know it’s meant to be reassuring, but it can be hard to hear that it’s easy when I’m struggling. Let me know if that doesn’t make sense. Thanks! Your vids are so wonderful!
ОтветитьThis is wonderful and I can't wait to work it on the new blanket I'm working. Thank you so much for teaching me how to do this
ОтветитьI have come back to watch your tutorial time and time again with each project I start. I have a short memory, but you explain this so well and are so easy to follow I can't believe I can't remember it! So, thank you for making this video. You have a lovely voice and I appreciate your time and experience <3
ОтветитьCan you use the foundation row for ripple & Chevron blankets?
ОтветитьYou move a little too fast for me. I have a hard time understanding you and wish you would slow.down a bit.
ОтветитьI have been trying to learn this stitch for a while. Your style and explanation made it so clear! Thank you so much! I'm getting it, finally! You are the best teacher ever!
ОтветитьThis is by far the easiest way someone explained the chainless foundation 😍
ОтветитьHoly cow...I'm 76 y.o. and I sure wish I new this 65 yes ago. You are a life saver. Also able now to skip starting the pattern 3rd ch from the hook. Wow I feel like a kid in a candy store. Lololo thank you. 😂😂
ОтветитьThanks for this explanation of the chainless foundation stitches. Your demonstration was by far the best I've seen.
ОтветитьThis is the most clear way I’ve ever seen this explained. I’m never chaining flat pieces again!
ОтветитьI always have holes in my stiches, im a beginner, do u know why this is happening?
ОтветитьOmg ! This is brilliant! The chains at the beginning has prevented me from doing anything that started with a long chain! Thank you!
ОтветитьMy brain right now :
Is it simple? Yeah
Is it more stretchy? Yes
Do you have to worry about counting or crocheting into loose chains ?no
Do the stitches look wonky?no
Is it BETTER? yes
Are you gonna change the old way and start with foundational stitches ? I REALLY CANT
JUST KIDDING I WILL TRY 😂
Zoom in for a closer look at what you are doing, if you can❣️ But I didn't think I was going to get the concept of what was happening until I watched your tutorial a couple of times & then followed along with you & all of the sudden I did it❣️I LOVE these project starters & when I teach my granddaughter them I will showing her your tutorial bcuz it is just more clear & understandable.Thank You sooo much for making everything about crocheting as you said " Easy Peasy❣️"❤❤❤
ОтветитьWhy has no one ever told me this before? I can't wait til Wed when I can show my crochet group friends.
ОтветитьWhyyyyyy did I look anywhere else? When in doubt, ask Tony! I'm a non-native english speaker and I find your explainations way easier to understand then most of the tutorials in my native language. Three tries and I had them down. THANK YOU!
ОтветитьHow have i been crocheting so long and never saw this? I feel like my whole crochet life has been a lie.
ОтветитьChains suck!!!
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video! It came just in time for my beginning a bedspread and I really dislike counting all those chains!😊
ОтветитьCan you use a foundation single crochet if you are working in rounds? I really hate joining chains then working singles into them. Would love to know if it’s possible, and how.
Love your videos!
Thank you! Such a perfectly explained way of how to do it. Thank you thank you.
ОтветитьAmazing!
ОтветитьMost helpful. Much prefer this than the chain.
ОтветитьCan I get some clarification? So if I am making a baby blanket and it asks for 131 single crochets, I could make say 131 of the half double and that would be my foundation to go into my second row. Am I correct?😊
ОтветитьI am a crochet newbie and I don’t like how my chains are too taught and have little give compared to the rest of the project! I am going to practice this and implement this pronto! I made my first scarf and while I do like it, I can feel that chain on one side and it takes away from the experience of the scarf! I am going to frog it and do this after some practice! Thank you!!
ОтветитьI already knew foundation single crochet but came here for the half double and double. Then I realized that foundation chain is basically like Tunisian crochet with two base chains
ОтветитьMuch clearer than other videos - thank you
ОтветитьI have been following your tutorial for quite a while. I rarely find the need to create a foundation chain. Is this strategy possible with the extended single crochet stitch? I tried it and I think it looks right, but you are the pro. What are your thoughts?
ОтветитьBig call out to you Toni, such a fabulous learning for foundation rows. This is it the chaining method is never a nice look, bless you my crochet teacher! Yarn friend.
ОтветитьYou’re the best, and who I turn to whenever I pick crochet back up again after lengthy hand breaks. If I forget a stitch, I’m calling Toni!
I hope you’re well. Sending you some extra love even fluffier than the yarn I’m working with today!
This is too fast! I want to learn this, but you're just. too darned fast.
ОтветитьThis was really helpful! I'm using a fine yarn (1) for first time and small hook with FSC, which makes this FSC awkward for me. I wasn't sure which edge to start working in for row 1. Thank you! I'll subscribe! ❤
Ответитьsigh.. I ave watched this over and over, I have no idea which stiches im supposed to work back into..
ОтветитьThank you for sharing. 🙂
ОтветитьBetween your clear and patient explanation and having single, half-double, and double crochet all in one video, it has finally "clicked" for me! Thank you so much.
ОтветитьI have to say, I have searched everywhere for a good tutorial on how to do the half double foundation crochet stitch, and this tutorial, by far, has been the best to follow. You are the only one who has managed to make it seem uncomplicated. Thank you!
