Michael you need to do a Twilight Zone spoof intro!!!!
ОтветитьI've been Catholic for just over a month and the Church has been a mess. I am still hopeful that Leo XIV does the right thing, but we'll see. I know people will leave the Church and that is very unfortunate.
ОтветитьThe Catholic Church has changed matters of discipline and their stance on moral issues over the centuries. I think it is unlikely it will stop now.
ОтветитьGlad I don't know who this is at all and I rather not be racked with anxieties about it either. Looking at the comments it looks like everyone needs to go to adoration/tabernacle and offer up these pains and trust in God more to make sure its not coming from the enemy. 1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you."
ОтветитьYes, Pope Leo XIV could have blocked this nomination, but there is a good reason he did not. If you look early on in Pope Francis' papacy, you will be surprised to see nominations for Bishops who were very conservative. The reason was that they were carry overs from Pope Benedict XVI. The same happened here: the priestly council had elected the names to be submitted to Pope Francis for approval. Francis approved the new bishop and this was sent back to St. Gallen. The papal nuncio then called the new nominee whether he would accept becoming Bishop. Father Grogli agreed. Somewhere between his agreement and the date when this nomination was to be announced, Pope Francis died. If Pope Leo were to suddenly reject Bishop Grogli after both him and the diocese had been informed of the decision for Grogli by Pope Francis, it would be one of the rudest and dishonorable acts a Pope could perform. Therefore, Pope Leo XIV who, unlike Pope Francis, will not go against the dignity of a human being, had to approve this nomination. Popes Benedict XVI, Pope John Paul II, and Pope Pius XII would have done exactly the same thing. Only starting around August will Pope Leo XIV be fully responsible for any bishop he names.
ОтветитьI have come across a very interesting story on the internet on a medieval called saint called St. Aelred. He was a gay man grabbling with what he termed as the curse of same sex attraction. He was dedicated to God and he entered the monastery and became a monk. He documented the pain he felt in containing his homosexuality and his battle with same attraction. He drew many interesting conclusions from his experience at the monastery. Firstly, he stated that his homosexuality was a blessing. He believed his love romantic/ erotic love for a man should be contained and offered up in a more sacrifical way and that any physical expression of the love must remain silent. He concluded that such sacrifice could actually strengthen his bond with God and actually enhance his spiritual growth.
It was a really fascinating insight into the mindset of a man troubled with same sex attraction and how he managed to turn this around into a profoundly spiritual encounter .
Things or issues like this seem to undermine the issue of why Christians who are not Catholics are doing it wrong, with the talk of so many denominations of the Lutherans, Protestants, and more and more. I get that it all is just too much, but the catholic church seems just as divided. Eastern Orthodox and all the down-talking and bad mouthing of the catholic churches in Germany and Switzerland. Priests who endorse gay marriage. With all this, you have the idea that you get to beat your chest and say that when people who take communion at church are not getting the grace from God/Jesus' sacrifice. Because the person offering it is not ordained, when you ordain people like this. Man is flawed, but God/Jesus/Holy Spirit are not. Finger-pointing that is claimed to be in the service of God is a shame and a lie. Power is the lust of men; money is the lust of men. Leave both behind.
ОтветитьIf I based my faith off the Papacy? I would not have come back to God after 30+ yrs in hardcore pagon worship. In fact? The Papacy is a huge turn off for me and I don't pay attention to it on purpose. Because of this bs. This is EXACTLY WHY people can't stand the Catholic Church. It has more mood swings than a teenager. God? God, DOES. NOT. CHANGE.! Nor does his word. NOR DOES HE BEND THE KNEE. UGH! 😡This crap is borderline Antichrist material/BEHAVIOUR. Sweet merciful Lord, help us all. ✝️
ОтветитьIt is discouraging I came to Catholic Church for stability , one year in and I see the church changing to the world. So are we wrong? I had a dream seeking refuge from the world and I ran and couldn’t find a sanctuary until I saw a church and ran inside and it was filled with bats and vampires! There was no refuge on earth, but only in my own heart with Christ. I hope this was a dream and not a vision.
ОтветитьIt was said right after the election: Francis II in all but name.
ОтветитьHe may be young, but Man proposes and God disposes. Why should a Bishop in another Country dictate so much.
ОтветитьLooks to me like this stream of the church is trying to recreate Gods Word into the image of whitewashed sin under the umbrella of Pastoral Ministry!
Church lost me at Pacha Mama! Been on high alert ever sense!
"Sodom and Gomorrah".
ОтветитьDon't know if you saw, but Cardinal McElroy went to be the AB of Washington....I don't know that San Diego's appointment is a great thing...
ОтветитьYes, the Pope can do what he want. But the concordat ... - it's problematic. If Pope cancel the concordat, is a big mass. Teaching of religion in schools, sustenance of priests, property of churches and monasteries, recognition of academic degrees in theology, ... Swiss is a state who was in the middle of protestant reform, I think there majority of churches can be owned by government, cities, ... and the priest are paid by governments. Sure, the Pope can appoint Apostolic Administrator. There is big work to do.
ОтветитьI thought they get to choose their bishop and the pope then approves or denies. Perhaps a little different then him being selected by Leo
ОтветитьPeople
Pls try not to panic. Bishops are often appointed by apostolic delegates who select…then checked off by pope
The pope is honestly kinda removed from some of this stuff
Also it’s likely this person was already set up to succeed before the conclave
Popes have a LOT to do and much much much is done by delegates…who sometimes can’t be trusted
Think of the Jadot appointments in US during Paul6….hoo boy
Remember the Pope can’t control everyone
The irony of catholic progressives (the ones who contradict the magisterium) is that they will never live to see the ‘progress’ that their self deception argues for. Promoting such men is a concern as they can deceive many others.
ОтветитьIs this a bragging session for you? You constantly do it it and it's annoying. If people leave the church because of this problem, they aren't there for the right reasons. It would take a hell of a lot more than this to tear me from the God I love through the one, holy, catholic apostalic church. It will take more than you running down the Pope and trying to instill fear in the face of weakness. Have some faith in Pope Leo. He was chosen and I'm not willing to just take your view as gospel. I need to dig deeper. It may not be a troubling appointment. Lets get more information before we jump on any of this. Maybe wait and hear the other side. You sure are jumping to alot of conclusions and even telling us how we feel.
you have already spread this information while claiming you don't want to be inaccurate. Get both sides prior to spreading your narrow version. Then talk about it.
Boh bin grad fett apisst, aber ich wird viel bete wel i leb ide region
ОтветитьGotta respect your balanced view on this.
ОтветитьThank Michael. This time around I wanna try to be more humble and realize i that God is in control. It’s all in His Providence. It’s not worth the aggravation to dissect every little thing I think that comes from Pope Leo, I do like him and he chooses his words well and there seems to be more clarity than we got from Pope. Francis. Bottom line: God is the boss
ОтветитьMarriage is cultural, always has been throughout the history of mankind. I think it's about time the Catholic Church recognizes that the Clergy of the Church Church needs to release their stronghold on sexual practices.
ОтветитьThings will not get back to where they need to be.
ОтветитьPlease site your sources. 👏👍👏✔️
ОтветитьNo one judges the Pope.
ОтветитьThe magisterium isn't above the Pope right?
ОтветитьDoes it matter if they're the Pope?
ОтветитьCan the Pope change the doctrine! Does the Pope enjoy Papal supremacy?
ОтветитьIt's as if many in this comment section think running the papacy is a game of checkers. In fact, it's chess.
Remember guys, the office of the Roman Pontiff is a throne of thorns. It's gethsemane. Pray for his holiness. He's going to suffer.
It isnt up to you to worry about the papacy. Worry about your conversion.
Wether many or few are going to heaven, you would be fools to count yourself among many or the few.
Being Catholic makes it harder to achieve sanctity because of precisely your culpability being to the max.
Watch yourselves gentlemen. Pray.
The Pope can say it doesn't matter. The Papal authority is the ground on which the Church stands. No?
Ответить🤔 doesn’t sound good. 🙏
ОтветитьOrthodoxy is looking more appealing by the second.
ОтветитьArtificial contraception, particularly for married couples for balance, shouldn't be deemed a mortal sin, It definitely shouldn't be compared to homosexuality unions /gay marriage.
ОтветитьYour daily reminder that the gates of hell shall never prevail against the Church.
ОтветитьFrancis + Leo... what a double whammy. Enjoy the next two decades! Seethe and cope, Dumpflakes. Liberality is the present. Liberality is the future. You are defeated. Owned. :)
ОтветитьCorrect!! Grögli had openly expressed support for reforming the Church’s traditional positions on homosexuality, gay marriage, contraception, and as you mentioned even on the ordination of women…As someone of your followers said Leo XIV is Bergoglio II with Benedictus XVI clothing with some exceptions: he already started to wear a silver pectoral cross and a silver fisherman ring instead of the gold ones, and he already started to use the horrible modernist and gnostic Paul VI’s silver ferula (the same ferula used by JPI, JPII, and Bergoglio). Ladies and gentleman here we have a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and probably a Freemason like some of his Post Second Vatican Council predecessors 😓😓
ОтветитьI'd love to watch the whole video but man its too long
ОтветитьI can hardly wait till.. Dr. Stine, Dr. Marshall, Tim Gordon & Catholic Esquire… oh… and LIFESITE news talk about this evil!!!
ОтветитьI found comment posted by Tomeka5019 very interesting. What do you think Michael?
ОтветитьTHIS IS EXCELLENT! Those who freak out about women in actual positions of power surely have forgotten the original Jesus movement was full of powerful women and Paul's ministry as well. Pop Quiz: Who did Aquinas call The Apostle to the Apostles? And what popular misconception about that person has only recently been officially put to rest by the Vatican?
ОтветитьMaybe the Holy Father will rescind this after a more careful inquiry
ОтветитьIf people can do whatever they like, why do we need a Church and all these useless Bishops and priests?
ОтветитьWell that unfortunately didn’t take long. So much for him being different than the last guy
ОтветитьI live in the dioces of St. Gallen and would like to add some clarifications. I know that this comment will probably not be read or appreciated.
There was really no good option for the pope. Let's imagine that the pope would have broken the concordate and had appointed a good faithful and strong man as bishop. First he would have needed to take someone from outside the dioces because St. Gallen is a 100% failed dioces. Good luck finding a faithful priest.
The new bishop would be opposed every step of the way. The parishes are mostly run by super liberal lay theologians. There is a massive shortage of priests.
The finances are in the hands of lay elected representatives. In the dioces of Chur the faithful bishop Wolfgang Haas got bullied away by those people.
Breaking the concordat would also make things with Switzerland very awkward.
As sad as it is, it really doesn't make much of a difference who the bishop is, the dioces is lost anyway. You would need to replace like 99% of all "staff" (clergy and lay ministers) in order to start fixing anything. Add to that, that the people aren't catechized at all. Churches are empty the only thing that keeps this going are church taxes.
Grögli is simply a continuation of Büchel.
doctrine??? if set in concrete and the church's unwillingness to re think or critically think as pope leo suggests, are people so terribly afraid of change? are people so terribly afraid to change the opinion of what is classed as sinful. anything in my view that reflects the ability of the human community to generate love is not sinful. one of the things i have always hated was the church's ability to dump guilt and shame on people instead of caring and loving . there are fewer separations in the gay communities than in the hetero communities. i think defined by false dedication .in orthodox marriage. . st gallen secret society has been in existence for a long time.
ОтветитьGive Pope XIV more time before you think you can judge him and his pontificate.
ОтветитьI just read the book that includes Beat Grögli... he weighed in on a couple of topics. 1st: divorce and remarriage. He believes not being able to divorce is a tragedy in most cases. He would like the Church to adopt the Orthodox view that a marriage can "die." Therefore, the two people are no longer bound to it. 2nd: He gives communion to all people regardless of potential disordered relationships. He says, "Who am I to judge, I trust their conscience will lead them in the right direction." 3rd: Sex outside of marriage. He thinks the church needs to relax its stance. Allow people in "committed" relationships to be "intimate." 4th: Same sex couples. He is open to blessing same sex couples in a non-formal setting. But he will not allow a formal ceremony, especially in a cathedral. 5th: . He says, "I don't want to simply abolish Church doctrine; I want to keep it as a point of reference—but if this gap becomes even wider, we will simply no longer be credible." ~ My conclusion is Beet Grögli is a danger to the Church and should publicly rescind his comments. Moreover, the other priest, Felix Terrier, and Marie-Louise Beyeler should do the same or Rome needs to get involved.
