I have this feeling that Batman misinterpreted Swamp Thing's philosophy and the Green remembering the dead as being able to actually bring people back from an afterlife, which he can't do even the Green's avatars are a special case and only exist in a separate dimension after death that they can't leave at the cost of permanent death and erasing of their consciousness from that web.

Aquaman can control anyone whose makeup has an evolutionary history of that of marine biology. Swamp Thing seems to have just given himself to The Green, which I would suspect, doesn’t share a history of marine biology. And if there is any character that needs to be humbled, its Batman

While I know that Alan Moore intended to separate Alec Holland from Swamp Thing by making it an earth elemental copy of him rather than a mutated Alec, it still keeps me up at night that he chose to say "the swamp absorbed his consciousness." If it absorbed Alec Holland's consciousness, then surely swamp thing IS Alec Holland? He's in there. If he wrote "the swamp copied his consciousness" I'd buy into it being another being. Its my favorite DC character but my mind can't handle that detail..

I want to see an expert in comics who is neutral, make a scenario where you put top 3 most powerful or perhaps top 4. So my opinion you want Superman, Batman, Swamp Thing and the Flash. Anyways put them against a number of Marvel Heroes, and see how many they can defeat. Or perhaps if they can defeat all of marvel with enough prep time for Batman.

Random but it would be funny and cool if James Gunn somehow adapted the story where Swamp Thing trolls Batman but in the movie or short or wherever he would include that story; instead of Batman getting mad, he actually knew Swamp Thing was lying the whole time but still helped him because why would a being such as Swamp Thing stoop to that level if it wasn’t absolutely necessary or important for him to do so.
