Which I$ The Better Choice? 2025 Toyota 4Runner vs 2024 Land Cruiser

Is there any truth to the 4runners frame is just painted and the Landcruiser has a coated frame? If true I wonder, why they want 4runners to rust.

But Ill say I'm waiting for more info on the 4runner platinum trim... I personally like the interior of the 4runner over the land cruiser. That shelf for the passenger... Aux switches... Bigger screen... Beats out the rear headliner HVAC of the land cruiser

Def not luxurious. It’s a comfortable off-roader but that’s it. No porous wood trim, no aluminum trim, and is the leather actually true cowhide or the fake crap car companies have been using lately? In the end, both these SUV’s are not worth 70 large. A used GX460 for 30-40 is actually luxurious inside and has great off road chops, more than enough.

That new 4Runner looks so good to me. But I definitely get why people are upset about the 4 cyl. The price is also crazy, but I’m not surprised, pretty much any cool higher trim level new car is outrageously expensive right now.

The Land Cruiser is iconic. It’s classy looking & still a status symbol at any trim. The 4Runner is more for Toyota loyalists who will still pay what they have to to get what they want. The 4Runner buyer wants the extras. The Land Cruiser buyer wants the person behind them to know they’re driving a Land Cruiser!

If this a a part time 4wd 4runner it is by definition a center locking diff.

Smaller, less towing capacity, no 3rd row seating, reliability issues, etc. Looks like Toyota decided to build a $25k Landcruiser and try to market it for $70k. Go back to your roots and build full size Landcruisers with more towing capabilities and 3rd row seating! And don't get me started on the new FJ...that thing is as ugly as the Pontiac Aztec and I love the original FJ and the 2007sh!😊

$1000 deposit down on a 25 Platinum Runner. Likely 6 months + from getting it here in CANADA. Trading in my 21 Nightshade-Runner. Can't wait. This will be my DD, and won't be off roading in it. I have a 95 Jeep Wrangler for off the grid adventures! :)

Land Cruiser all day

I’ve been driving an 80 series cruiser for 14 years. My wife was interested in a ‘25 so we checked one out and the interior is horrible, so bad that we opted not to test drive.

Land cruiser looks so good 😊

But the price is not right😅

Buy German for these prices and get your unit tomorrow not 3 years and political bs

All this bs with smaller engines and hybrid crap and all the computers electronics in the world and these pos are just a joke in MPG’s pass

So ticked off that the 4Runner not only is going 4 cylinder but going way up in price for various trims. I have a 2013 Trail that is fully equipped with all of the off road options. I got it for just over $36,000 12 yrs ago. No way that I'm going to "upgrade" to a 4 banger. These engines are not durable for heavier vehicles as we're seeing with Toyota pickups that have already gone this route. The better choice in my opinion is to either keep or buy used an older 4Runner. I keep hearing that my engine and transmission are "dated" but don't care if I can get 200,000 or more miles from this vehicle. No way a turbo 4 will last nearly that long.
