14-16 and hour is absud no way will this pay the bills! I would never consider this!!! 20 an hour should be the minimum!

Hi! I wonder if you can help with this! For Cambly Kids, the issue I'm having is that I open both morning & evening slots and I've been getting quite a few new students recently who book my evening time classes thinking it's evening time for them, but it's actually morning for them and then no show! (Chinese & Korean students) Any suggestions to avoid this? The only thing I came up with is messaging them beforehand to confirm they know that they booked a morning class and ask if they intended to book that time. It's almost not worth having the evenings open when this keeps happening, but I sometimes get students from Brazil at those times, so I don't want to close them altogether. I'm not clear on why they don't notice whether it's am or pm when they book, if they just aren't paying attention...

I haven't worked with VIPKID, but I'm still under contract and I still have an account. Is it possible to get students like before?

It's sad that they are requiring you be American or Canadian with proof of a teaching license & college degree yet paying less than those same people can get at McDonald's without even a HS diploma...

It's basically impossible to get more than 1 or 2 bookings per week with them. I tried for a few months recently and gave up. Prior to 2020 I was almost always fully booked. It's not worth it anymore.

How did you find out about the TESOL requirement? I can’t find an announcement in my email or on the website. Thx

I'm currently studying in Canada but I'm not a citizen. Am I still able to teach there provided i can get the teaching certification?

I don't understand... I thought VIPKid stopped business for teachers in the United States in 2021 due to China's new law against foreign teachers teaching Chinese children?

Hi Tim. Do you happen to know of any good math tutoring platforms that my husband could apply for? My husband is Australian so if it needs to be a US citizen, he can't do it but he has his own business and is an independent contractor. He is currently teaching English online (lot's of English tutoring platforms out there). Thanks in advance! ❤

Hi Tim, There is only two requirements I don´t meet, native level of english from studying HS in the US and the teaching license. Can I still join VIP TEACHER only to be part of the referral program? I am into digital marketing as well.

Hey there, pretty sure you didn’t address this (watched the whole vid) but I heard you could do a 5 min demo through the app instead of the 20 min one from your computer (from YT vids from like 2020 ish) but i've been having trouble finding that option. Am I doing something wrong or did they get rid of that option? Please let me know, thanks in advance! Really considering trying this out

Hello! I enjoyed your video very much! I was interested in becoming a VIPKid teacher a few years ago, right before the possibility seemed to disappear. I was happy to see VIP Teacher mentioned in a Google search as a good company to teach online for, so I am considering giving it a try. I have 3 questions: 1. I am a Canadian with a Canadian passport, but I don't currently live in Canada - I plan to move back when things in North America 'settle down'? 🙄( I love many Americans, but don't want to be one....) Anyway, is the fact that my current residence is Taiwan an issue? 2. I took an ESL course many years ago ~ 24 years ago, and I'm not sure that I have the paperwork that is required to prove it. What is necessary? ( I have a teaching credential for teaching in Canada and a Bachelor of Music education). 3. I am old - ok, not a question - well, I guess it is - am I too old? Here in Taiwan I have been teaching English for years, and no one has held my age against me (recently turned 74). But it seems that VIP Teacher is a stickler about some things. Is age one of them?
