Real shame that you guys chose to use video footage from smartereverday without giving him any credit.

The Jeti helicopter programming is very basic. It doesn't do anything in the standard helicopter mix that a basic 7 channel radio can do. And, it doesn't have the programmability to add the slightly more complex programming that radios like the Stylus (remember that radio?) or the Futaba 18/16SZ can do. Yes, you can add functionality for smoke or gear, but that is not unique for a helicopter. Let me give you several examples: 1) The ability to control the slope of a pitch curve. 2) The ability to move an entire pitch curve "up" or "down" 3) The ability to select 1 or more points on a pitch curve (in this case even a throttle curve) and to assign those to a switch/slider/rotary for adjustment manually or to a mix. 4) to select a point on a pitch/throttle/mix curve/gain (or multiple points) so that these can be adjusted during flight. I've asked on the Jeti forums and on the heli forums and this functionality just isn't part of the radio programming. I own a DS-24 and it's a disappointment for a helicopter pilot looking to use it for contest flying. Yes, it is great for many other things and if your needs don't extend beyond relying on what a flybarless system can do. I wish someone at Jeti would take a look at what Futaba is doing and what the Airtronics/Stylus could do (over a decade ago!).
