Moved to CLT from Miami-cost of living is better for sure but as far as food it’s maybe MID. Still waiting to be impressed and after 3 years -glad I didn’t come here for the food. Great parks for families. And proximity to mountains and other states is also good. Schools are good in specific pockets in Meck it’s hard to find consistency with schools.

I need to explore more of both cities. I have transplants in both. I didn’t like Raleigh 25 years ago but they have grown a lot.

Interesting, i actually found Raleigh more appealing. Loved that the RDU area had so many free musems things to do and Cary/Apex i feel were better suburbs than anything CLT had to offer. Also Durham is its own city as well.

Im not really into night life and have a 4 year old, so maybe im just boring.. 😂

Raleigh you can still find ok house prices if you look hard, I have not found good/ok prices in Charlotte at all, maybe only in the not so nice areas..

I love Charlotte but, it's very hard to find a job there! I had to move back to Maryland because I couldn't find a job in Charlotte I was so upset because I HATE the DMV area. There is way more opportunities in the DMV, but the cost of living is outrageous! I cannot wait to go back to Charlotte I feel like it's my home can't wait to get back there!

Looking at relocating to one of them from Cali. Going to visit in November to check it out. Not much of a sports person or into the nightlife anymore so Raleigh might be my best bet lol. They both sound like amazing locations.

i just want to know what you consider affordable because these jobs are not paying good at all. the hourly pay here is extremely low.. how is somebody that only get paid about 18 a hour afford 1500 rent on top of other bills .. charlotte is for people that work at banks n that has businesses not a place just trying to make it.. because i been here for 3 years and it has been a struggle after my lease is up .. im looking to locate .. and there is absolutely no help here for working people with no kids.

Raleigh is very boring Charlotte is mid; the people in Charlotte drive so crazy but its def better than Raleigh! There is absolutely nothing in Raleigh!!

The reason Tampa is number one is because they got the Gulf of Mexico people love water. I like Charlotte area 2 and I like the skyline but they need more towers on the Northside of Charlotte on North Tryon. Charlotte was plan to be a city but Raleigh didn't plan to be a city.
