Setting off in the yellow Spanish designed ELA 07-Cougar gyroplane, Rollo's Airfield, Pallamana, South Australia, Australia. Notice that the engine at the back allows the gyro to taxi and then just before take off, the rotors are activated to give lift when rolling on the runway. This one would have been a bit breezy with an open cockpit.
The airfield was about an hour's drive southeast of Adelaide, the capital, and not far from Murray Bridge. I flew in the red Cavalon gyroplane (shown in a previous video). Video by Fran West - www.franwest.com.
