Your videos are so surreal—like you're the only person traversing a new planet. Beautiful stuff as always.
ОтветитьExcellent video. Thank you for taking the time to show examples of what you were talking about. It made the tips so real and easy to understand how to actually use them.
ОтветитьYour production quality is amazing. The 360 drone shot with PhotoPills display really helped explain the scene masterfully. I really appreciate all of your advice, it’s really helpful!
ОтветитьVery good tutorial. Thanks
ОтветитьWhat lens did you use ?
ОтветитьThanks for educating us once again! I always struggle with Composition especially in a busy cluttered area. These are great tips and This really helps!
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks for sharing
Ответитьlove this kind of tutorial!
ОтветитьAbsolutely smashing video. Thanks for the thoughtful advice and creative vision. Very well done.
Ответитьso is this people's private property that you walk around on? Do they care? I am just wondering.. doing that where I live would get me shot..or someone calling the police on me for tresspassing. I just dont know what the culture acceptance is there. Also I just want to say.. I really like your music as well as your photography
ОтветитьWondering if you ever isolate and use frames from your drone footage? Today's footage was spectacular
ОтветитьNigel, during tip 6 the 50mm shot actually looks like you have a wider FOV than the 30mm shot. Am I missing something, they look like slightly different compositions, but my thought was either I’m looking at it incorrectly or you might flipped labels by mistake? Your thoughts. Mario
ОтветитьThanks Nigel for another fantastic lesson... I really like and appreciate the 7 tip format! Mario
ОтветитьPLEASE tell me why the BW of the Tree didn't work?? That was my fav
ОтветитьNigel should have a line of ND filters that will be called ND ND filters.
ОтветитьNigel ,where is the location at 13 mins in the vid, that area with the rock marker, is just spectacular and think this might be the Langdale area, I could run off an awful lot of compositions from that area alone
ОтветитьWe are always so impressed with the amount of hard work you put into the making of your videos. It makes them so watchable and the information they contain is so very useful to us as amateurs. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to tomorrow nights latest edition!
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful place.....
ОтветитьThanks for the helpful tips and taking the time to share. Really glad i found ur channel
ОтветитьHi Nigel, maybe a somewhat "funny" comment, but I always get distracted by your waist belt of the backpack dangling around instead of being fastened :-) Especially with your back problems, wouldn't it be advantageous to fasten it and thereby transfer weight on the waist? I find this helps a lot when hiking and I feel my back and shoulders much less.
ОтветитьThank you for this useful video will help with my photography studies
ОтветитьReally helpful clearly explained tips. Great video!
ОтветитьNot so good
ОтветитьLoved the video especially Tip 3. Not having any dramatic landscape close by and always striving for that dramatic shot; I will now look more closely at what we do have here, thank you.
ОтветитьGreat video Nigel. Thanks for sharing. That's a great location.
ОтветитьThe take home of this episode for me is to be absorbed in, appreciate and enjoy the photo taking process. Actually seeing and imagining the frame may be best achieved with the enthusiasm generated from a long envigorating hike.
Again, you are inspiring! Tx so for your work !
Amazing video and tips/. Your videography is amazing as well. You look like a CGI character in the background.
Thank you
Suuuuuper cool stuff man.
ОтветитьGreat tips and information Nigel,Love your work mate, keep up the great videos, very helpful and gets me motivated.👍👍👍
ОтветитьThanks Nigel, as usual really informative, brilliant explanation of subject, using phone to demonstrate different focal length's was interesting.
ОтветитьI enjoyed your fresh perspective on this area and scene
ОтветитьAre you in Dartmoor! Beautiful! I went last october, and the conditions were stunning
ОтветитьLovely tutorial Nigel.. the tight amt of info.. cheers vernon_alvares Mumbai India
ОтветитьYour video composition is as good as your static images!! Just a beautiful and pleasing vid! Congrats!
ОтветитьGreat video Nigel, I'm definitely guilty of plonking my tripod down and photographing the first composition I see.
Thanks for the reminder to just take more time to look around and explore the scene more 👍
Sweet drone shots Nigel! Especially with the sunrise point overlay!
Ответитьwhy were the stone walls built?
ОтветитьAnd where is Pebbles? 🥺
ОтветитьI'm really enjoying your videos and your tips are very useful. It's so powerful to understand how different lighting conditions affect the final image. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
ОтветитьJust catching up on some of the previous videos, thanks as always for sharing Nigel, great content.
ОтветитьSimply Beautiful...
ОтветитьA video with perfectly made examples!
Beautiful advice. Thank you : )
A terrific video in all respects.
ОтветитьSuch helpful content. In rural photography I'm usually thinking wide sweeping vistas, and now realize I've been missing opportunities to zoom in on specific elements. Here in the PNW of the U.S. we have no shortage of magnificent trees, just to start with, and I'm excited about changing my perspective. I'm learning so much from your photography and videos. Thank you!
ОтветитьInformative but really nicely shot in both video and still
ОтветитьYour photos are bad and you talk too much.
ОтветитьThanks for the useful advices @Nigel Danson! I think checking the weather forecast in combination with the current season more in detail helps a lot too. Understand wind, fog, snow, rain, sunlight directions, thunderstorms.....and to , even this might sound quite obvious but to actually go to places which are interesting or dramatic from a landscape point of view , mountains with the sea or lakes are usually a great combo if you are not obliged to shoot in a certain area. Canyons, deserts, specific forests, specific rock formations will increase the fun and results of landscape photography massively!
ОтветитьWhere is your own shadow?
ОтветитьJust started taking photos and I’m picking up a manfrotto 055 tomorrow for my 5d mark II. I’ve only got a 50mm and a 70-200 f4 but I would like some in between for my landscape photography and maybe a 20mm? what would you recommend?
Cheers!
