What they mean is "we fired the competent people who could have done this and/or lost the encryption keys" - there's absolutely no way they've somehow managed to lock down their cars to specific servers whose IPs/DNS endpoints couldn't be changed. It's about time...they did this to the phone companies and best thing they ever did because now we have options and it's way better if you aren't happy with your carrier you can get a different phone company and be happy with better service when they were the only phone company, they were so full of themselves and didn't care about the customers because they had no where else to go, I was told this by the phone company, just laugh at you and your problems with their service and customer service is a joke.
