I assume since Gary's mom and aunt aren't just sisters, but twins, they are very close, how cool that both were able to make the trip and have the experience together! I keep telling myself that I'm going to see America in a van or towing a camper behind my truck, I'm going to have to find someone like Gary to install some extra solar power, because electronics is not my forte! lol

As an American that lived in South Island of NZ, the scenery is South Island is unmatched!

First time on the channel. After a minute the vocal fry already got me to leave again.

regrading credit cards. I called my cc companies to let them know where I was and they worked. They told me if you let them know where you are they nshould work anywhere providing the vender is set up for international cards and will work at any atm.. a grocery store's cc reader decline mine and when I called they though I was in FP but 30 seconds later all was correct aaaas they showed I was in Oahu and the us.

Hi guys. I see you caught the boat up to the Huka Falls. The Dan off memory is the Aratiatia. They open the Dam twice a day and it's where the Hobbits escaped in the wooden barrels.
Auckland is my home town, but i live 3 hrs South by road. I don't no if your heading back that way but I think if you hit Auckland Anniversary weekend you'll be impressed. The harbor & outer harbor will be sails everywhere. And, did you no that on a per capiter bases NZ'ers are the biggest boat owners in the world. Safe travels, I look forward to your next post.

out of curiosity: I know AGM batteries are cheaper than Lithium, but would a Lithium one not have been better, especially when considering how much more you can drain it down to 90% capacity?

I also plan on getting a van when I sail to New Zealand as well so that I can explore all of the waterfalls and beautiful countryside. What an awesome adventure!

Awe! You mom has a a twin! I had a twin till I was 20. I see twins now and love that they are best friends and so cool! Awesome they flew all the way to New Zealand!
