Sheesh, lotta negativity here. All I've watched is the USC highlights...looked pretty dang good. One game highlights, I get it, but he looked to have a good arm, awareness and some mobility. He's ranked the 7th QB in the portal by On3. I mean what're people expecting? Great day, two QBs with experience. Frankly, both could be an upgrade. Nothing is guaranteed so we'll see how they work out, but that can be said for everyone.

Graham Mertz (at Wisconsin) was comparable to Edwards.

I had no idea whether Evers was any good but how in the h'll can one tell if a candidate n ever plays? If I waz Mabrey, I'd be ticked n think, "Geez, guess they got no faith in me!" Didn't Maryland have a terrible season? Ugh

Can't be worse than Locke. Just cannot. And with Tanner at TE, he might actually be good. If Trech and Vinnie play up to potential, Edwards might be great.

It's tough to judge because he just had such a ridiculous volume of pass attempts (and screens) at Maryland because they couldn't run the ball, so for better or worse he had a lot of yards at a low yards per attempt. I think relative to his attempts his INT rate isn't super high, so I'm cautiously optimistic about him elevating our team somewhat.

Watch 2 games of his. Based on the 2 I saw, absolutely an upgrade!
