New Purple Pincher Hermit Crabs

I've had hermit crabs for years! The purple pinchers are very picky about shells! Great video!

They are very cute, I have a Hermit Crab myself and the problem is I got him a friend at one point from petsmart and my original Hermit crab attacked him and the new one died so I'm scared to introduce another Hermit crab to the tank. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again, because I don't want him to be lonely
