ОтветитьThis is what I was searching for, seriously man you have taught all the basic blocks very simply and to the point.....
ОтветитьBrother Cooach Anthony, you are so handsome 😍💋😍❤❤❤💖💖💖
ОтветитьBro this shits crazy... I didn't even know David Blaine boxed.
ОтветитьWhen I Foret got into this I was asked what is it you want out of this?? Of course being young and ambitions and narrow minded I immediately said I want to learn how to punch and be fast at doing it. The next thing I heard blew my mind,,,,,he said get ready to learn boxing and the trick to boxing is to avoid getting hit you do that by having a good solid defense. Ghis of course wasn't appealing to me fast forward to my army days and being older I started going to a gym with one of the dudes in my unit who boxed and was a golden gloves champ out in California, I dont remember the town but we were at that gym for 3 months I learned a shit ton from the coach and my buddy who was an actual boxer then we got deployed to Iraq and boxing was put on hold again for a different form of fighting. Those deployments developed a different attitude in me a drive I never had a toughness I never realized I harbored. I love boxing long story short lol
ОтветитьDefinitely subscribed.

ОтветитьI just had my first sparring session today and definitely need to improve my blocking!! In real time you just don’t know what’s about to be thrown at you, so I had a hard time trying to use the correct blocking techniques. I will watch this video several times over the next week and hopefully will get better for the sparring next week! Thanks for the video!

ОтветитьIm coming
Ответитьwhy bro got a hat on tho
ОтветитьYou’ve got a cool sounding voice bro just saying.
ОтветитьNew to the sport. This emphasis on defense brings strategy to a new level. I recall hearing that punches that don’t land take more energy than punches that hit the mark. Seems that solid defense can possibly fatigue an opponent or frustrate them enough to create opportunities.
Ответить1. block 1 by turning glove to face opponent
2. block 2 by bring had to temple
3. block 3 from chin to temple
4. block 6 with right hand, or block with same side hand to prevent counter, or just catch with forearms to be safer
5. catch straight body shots with elbow, slight lean in with blocking arm
6. catch hook body shots by lean to sides
7. block 2 hand up and roll to disspate some force, set up counter
8. roll body hits too to counter punch

I just had my first sparring session by mistake thinking it was going to be a regular boxing class with drills.
But it was a great learning experience.
what I noticed is that instinctively I was dropping my guard and getting my self open.
and getting hit.
If I had known these basics would have been at least been able to block most of the shots.
Niceeeee
ОтветитьLove this
ОтветитьSup Coach Anthony? I’m not a boxer, but I’ve got a five year old, and I want him to know how to slip punches, so ,of course, I check in with you for a beginner-refresher, and BANG, there you are, making it happen for us.
Appreciate you Brother. Keep up the good work.
p.s. ABSOLUTELY LOVE that you say “bang” like Big Teddy when you’re training people man. Good shit. 🦍❤️
Thank you for loving and teaching
ОтветитьI tried these techniques and I got knocked out in a few seconds when he threw his leg at my head.
