Ryu and Ken actually needs a damage nerf. Terry is fine where he is.. His matchups needs a minor nerf.
ОтветитьThere is ONE pro that is using Terry pretty well, Kintyo-Ryu in Japan. But that said, I think he had better performances when he was using Ken.
The character is mad fun to use, would be good if he could be made a bit more competitive.
These are the types of videos Capcom should be considering towards making PTS for balancing patches.

With Terry's Standing HP in most SNK games he's in it was always 1 of his 2 command normals.
ОтветитьMy two cents: Make Terry's target combo (Mp > HP) Cancelable, specifically for SUPERS. Luke can do this with Medium Punch Target Combo. They gave that QOL to Juri's Target Combo. That would be nice.

He is lame as hell. Has nothing to do with strength of character. He has should have his own system tied to Kof.
Akuma had his sf bar system tied to him in tekken. Why not do the same for him in sf
Give terry’s cr mk- cr hk tc 19 frames to confirm. Same as ken’s st hp-run dp.
Then terry’s can have a playstyle where they can save meter and play footsies with st mp-st hp tc and fire kick tc
I like that terry’s jump and sweep are weak. I just wish he could compensate in other aspects.

ОтветитьVery good video a lot of information. The comparison between the other shotos shows what Terry is lacking and showcases his weaknesses.
I think terry still needs some more time to develop before I can think about changes. But I would like to point out that Terry can do his power dunk combo from standing without counterhit you gotta be pretty far for it work it's situational but it does work.
why should a guest character that has no right being in a sf game deserve to be strong.

ОтветитьAm I the only weirdo that wants to be able to blow out my resources with lvl 2 on block? I feel if I have it to spend, I should be able to triple powergeyser for the chip out. It's a very specific situation, but I feel like it would be earned and it's not like it wouldn't be punishable anyway if I don't kill.

ОтветитьI'm an AKI main who's been playing almost only Terry since his release, and I agree with everything you guys said. He's incredibly fun and unique and just needs what could be called a few quality of life changes :)

1. Buff terrys medium power charge that is plus on block
2. Buff the speed, range and hit box on terrys crack shot. He does not need to combo crack shot on a grounded opponent because he can combo when it's AAs.
3. Buff terrys passive sway so it activates on opponents block.
4. Buff terry normal range on crouch mk.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the lane switch target combo at all.

ОтветитьMedium fireball needs to travel at least 80% full screen. Give him a 7 frame cr medium kick, it won't be overpowered. 9 frame sweep. Stand MP -> FP target combo special cancelable. Crack shoot and SA1 changes you guys mentioned.

ОтветитьI've been saying this since day 1, Capcom intentionally made everything Terry has to be extra inconvenient. It's all intentional so the SNK character isn't winning tourneys.

Ответитьyou can just feel Capcom deliberately holding Terry back either out of fear of being too good, or not wanting the guest to upstage their own characters.

--Buff his HP (make it +1) or buff his CMP (hit advantage so you can link for example CMP counter hit into CMK, or make it +1 on block)
--Give his SMP more hit advantage so at least you naturally combo into power dunk and other stuff
-give some use to the useless OD moves (tackle, quick burn or burn knuckle) either buff the damage of burn knuckle punish for fat damage, make quick burn cancelable for example.
-triple geyser for chip damage
oh, and I almost forgot, his crack shoot is trash as anti zoning, buff that, OD should be invul to fireballs or Heavy should have some kind of combo property on punish or at least faster like Chun's
Terry is the only Character i feel Comfortable with, i tried with Jaime, Kimbers, and Ed.
Since he's one of my Favorite FG characters I'm gonna stick with him and try and make it work. I have fun with him

My idea I'd like to throw out there.
HP Burn Knuckle. Holding down FP cancels the knuckle. He'll throw up his hands, but that's it. Like a fake JP fireball. It's also a common mechanic in Fatal Fury games, so it's honoring the source material, as it were.

Terry is hard to use but fun. He feels so weak against top tier though.
ОтветитьBut the cool thing about SF games is that the characters must be different. Different anti airs, different normals, everything. Terry has a lot of tools, maybe need to reduce the sweep one frame but nothing more. Well, the "Fatal Fury background" attacks are really useless 🤭

Also be able to cancel his mp - hp TC needs to be cancelable
And his side switch TC needs to be safer or safe like his other TC.

ОтветитьIf capcon fixes all of these things you just get another broken character. MAybe is a better idea nerf Akuma, Rashid and Ed just a little.
ОтветитьWell... Since second one we can see that the anti fireballs tools are not anymore. The Crackshoot is useless and you just can't do Power Dunk anymore. Once more, lots of moves that exist only to extend combos. Like many others from other characters.
ОтветитьI would have liked if Terry did his ultimate move Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture (1994) when he does his special against Mars the Fire God, after he gets pissed his gf gets killed and he is pissed with the wolf roar. Just my opinion.
