These videos and comments are so inspiring! I'm waiting on the status of my BSN application right now...
ОтветитьI had a 3.4-3.5 with no health care experience at all and I got in on my first try. It’s possible 😊. Also community college will be more affordable than a big university.
ОтветитьWhat state are you in? Here, as long as you have a pulse and get C's you get into nursing.
ОтветитьHonestly the other two schools not accepting you looks so bad on them. I am so happy that the best school in your state saw your potential!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьNursing course is hard to get into. In my time, since the school I went into had a 100% passing rate for many years, first qualification is that you have to be in the upper 40% of the graduating class, otherwise you’re not qualified. Then there’s the nursing qualifying exam aside from the university exam, then a series of interviews after that. Those who passed all those, will have their names posted in the college’s bulletin board and only then you can enroll. 😂 when I enrolled in law school, there was also a written exam, and if you passed the written exam, a panel interview will be conducted and only successful applicants can enroll for law school. 😅 thankfully, I passed all of those and passed the board as well as the bar examination both on first take. 😅 So when people say to me that I’m not qualified, I’m like meeehh! 🤪 Like who you kidding?! Your exams were easy peasy… they try to bring you down with lots of excuses, and some of which even sounds ridiculous!😂 I actually confronted my head when I was working at a company, and when I gave my reason, she can’t even speak clearly as to why she gave me that rating.😂
ОтветитьI love how you didn’t even mention so CNA for extra points 😅.
ОтветитьI am straight A student in California and I still got rejected twice lol, I have two Ws tho. Maybe that is why.
ОтветитьStats is super hard!
ОтветитьI got in with a 3.3😭😭
ОтветитьHello friend want to pick your brain.
I went to collage 13 years ago, bad passing grades. Because of cuny retakes policy I automatically disqualify for cuny nursing school. I plan to just take all prereqs at cuny since I just got into one( as undeclare major) then transfer to a private.
Which prereqs should I take?
Any schools you recommend?
That’s crazy! At my college I had no previous medical experience or anything and they accepted me haha. I did all those courses you had on your old transcript on my first year of my ABSN program. But I didn’t went to a university or community college because the acceptance rate for those schools are very low. So I went to private school that accepts you even if you have no previous medical experience or any certification like CNA, EMT etc. only down side is that it will cost way more. But since nurses makes 6 figures these days you can pay them off easily
ОтветитьIf they’re so in need of nurses because of shortage than why is it so hard to get in ???
ОтветитьI had no idea undergrad nursing programs were really competitive. I'm currently about to start community college and I am planning on transferring to UNMC to get my BSN. Lowkey stressed I wont even lie lmao but this video has definitely helped :)
ОтветитьI took business statistics and man that class was hard af
ОтветитьNever give up! I’m a 15 yr cancer survivor who has seen too much 😆 & understand how important caring & compassionate individuals are! Even my oncology social worker who gave me fuel cards that were donations, was a great asset to healthcare. Medical receptionists, we love you! You take our stressed out calls as we attempt to get our results from nurses. I went to JCCC…Johnson County Community College (KC) & CCM…County College of Morris (NJ) for some nursing pre-reqs & they were excellent community colleges. I agree w/ just getting your foot in the door! In HS, I was a traypasser in food service at a hospital. So 10 yrs later, when getting a nurse asst job at Morristown Memorial in Ortho Surgical wing, I was immediately comfortable w/ walking into the hospital room to cheer up the patient & take vitals. I couldn’t continue college due to IBS & un-dx anemia, all pre-colon cancer. I was then unable to go back to any associates degree due to CIPN (chemo induced PN). So we need YOU! Please never give up! ❤
ОтветитьI just got rejected from my school of choice for nursing and I’m crushed. I have one more letter I’m waiting on and I’m holding out hope.
ОтветитьGetting rejected by two nursing schools with a 3.97 gpa. Now waiting for my third school. I hope they won’t turn me down
Ответитьhi i know this video was posted a bit ago, but i have a question regarding nursing school, i got rejected from pre nursing and was wondering is it even possible for me to become a nurse still
ОтветитьJust got rejected an hr ago lol! This feeling sucks
ОтветитьI am currently applying to nursing school. I’m praying I get in 🥺
ОтветитьMenisota
ОтветитьGood job man 🎉
ОтветитьCommunity college nursing programs are very competitive and probably less spots than the university. They cost less and have great programs with high pass rate so it’s just as difficult.
ОтветитьHonestly, getting into nursing school is PURE luck. You could have a 4.0 and hundreds of volunteer hours and still not make it until you’re 3rd time. That’s exactly what my school said. Pure luck. But still try hard obviously but also pray or do whatever you can, manifest wtv.
ОтветитьI’m terrified.. I’m a freshman now and my science gpa is not good I mean I’ve only taken chemistry so far but I’m getting a minimum C grade
Ответитьarea does matter
ОтветитьI’m ready to just give up. Healthcare is impossible at time. If been in this field for 24 years and this is the most defeated I’ve ever felt.
ОтветитьMan I got rejects two times last year . I cry lot and I apply again this semesters
ОтветитьJust got my second rejection letter today.. This video gives me hope to keep going. Thank you for sharing
ОтветитьWhat was your science gpa?
ОтветитьThe homeless in many states probably from Florida + other nursing schools/highway robbery. Please no one attend ICHS international college of health sciences in Boynton Beach (acen accredited). 90% student body are from California and unaware of battles & scheming that awaits. Spread The Word. 100s don't pass exit exam each semester and held there much longer than anticipated. "Contracts" change every semester. With that $$ you can move to any state's community college or support homeless!! Where goes the money ICHS?? Barely a campus. Little clinical site availability. Students pay proctor most exam. On campus testing is another nightmare. Exam questions completely random and each is at least 30-45% grade. Staff are 'fired' and rehired rotating positions constantly. Staff death from overdoses and fired for sexual favor 'rumors'. Even 'rumor' of students suicides. (I guess death happens in hospitals too, it's just preparation) Unable to reach staff by phone, email, or in-person and so many LIES. Family&friend-run business racket. Somehow does DeSantis benefit?!
ОтветитьI love this. You seem like an awesome person.
ОтветитьSo, what did you did you end up getting in basic stats? Statistics was the easiest Math class out there.
ОтветитьDropping statistic is so real 😅
Ответитьjust got my GED yesterday🎉 tried taking the test several times but failed so i bought mine for at the end from DEELSCAFE a legit source i saw last week and it came out 💯
ОтветитьI started nursing school ten years ago. I didn’t do well for many reasons, I was a single mom with little support and no money and I was going through a very difficult break up. I let my personal life interfere with my goals. I also attended a program that required a very high mark to progress in the program (82%) At the time, I convinced myself that nursing wasn’t for me but in hindsight and as an older more experienced adult I realized my situation wasn’t conducive to being successful at any project. After a few years, I decided to give nursing another try. I completed an LPN program first because I was scared of not doing well in an RN program again. I loved it and loved working as an LPN! Last year I applied to a bridge program and with God’s help, I’ll be graduating in May with my RN! Don’t ever give up on your dreams! Thank you for your videos 😊
ОтветитьGetting accepted at a community college nursing program is like survival of the fittest! It’s extremely competitive because they have limited seats. In mine, only 50 students can get in per semester. Last semester only 22 graduated. 100% NCLEX passing rate.
ОтветитьI understand how you feel, I got rejected from an ultrasound program of a community college with a 4.0 GPA (both only science and with gen-ed included) and a bachelor's and full time working experience that supposed to be extra points in my application. Most of hem are almost 100% or even more than 100% in many classes that offered extra credits. I don't know what they are looking for. They may not into adult workers who want to switch to healthcare. I haven't applied to anything since then, 2 years wasted working on these pre-reqs.
Ответить3rd times the charm.
ОтветитьLove the video! Just sent my applications to nursing programs around my area for Fall 2023! Hoping for the best! All I need to take is my TEAS!
Ответить"I was screaming in my cul de sac" is my favorite thing you've ever said haha!
ОтветитьWhich associate nursing school rejected you ???
ОтветитьI'll be appplying for my school's nursing program in a few months :) what nursing school did u go to?
ОтветитьThanks for sharing this!
Ответитьi totally didnt know it at the time, but I found out that the community college i applied/go to had the most competitive Nursing program out of all the colleges in my university. Community college is no joke. Glad to hear you had the drive to not give up! <3
ОтветитьHi! Thank you very much for posting this. I'm still a college freshman and I'm taking prerequisites and I'm kind of scared of being in a situation where I get rejected and don't have anywhere to go. There is a BSN program really close to me, only a train ride away. But it's really competitive......someone told me that they were waitlisted with a 4.0 GPA :0. But your video motivated me, so for that I thank you
ОтветитьI want to cry... im failing pediatrics right now. I did great in all my med surg classes, but I'm doing horrible in peds 😭🤯😭🤯😭🤯
Ответить
